So Thayer... Their There!!

The Deaths in 2017 site lists under May 15:
  • Karl-Otto Apel (15 March 1922 – 15 May 2017)
His date of birth and death generates a "March 15, __, May 15/ 15th Day, Month Sequence" pattern-cluster.  Bridging the April 15 gap... using the formula as per usual, we arrive at:
  • Matthew Arnold (24 December 1822 – 15 April 1888)
  • Harvey Postlethwaite (4 March 1944 – 15 April 1999)
  • Edward St. John Gorey (February 22, 1925 – April 15, 2000)
The name Edward Gorey is a cryptic "eddy ward gory", and his birthday also stands out given the following from my earlier post today, The Hand Maids Trail:
  • William Joseph Dunlop (25 February 1952 – 2 July 2000)
  • Archie Randolph Ammons (February 18, 1926 – February 25, 2001)
  • Charles Oscar Finley (February 22, 1918 – February 19, 1996)
  • February 18, 19, 20, 21, 22(x4), 23, 24, 25(x4)/Date Sequence" pattern-cluster
And note as well  from another of my posts made earlier today, Boss On:
  • Robert George Young (February 22, 1907 – July 21, 1998)
  • Benjamin Samuel Bloom (February 21, 1913 – September 13, 1999)
  •  Their birthdays speak volumes.  For one, February 22 is the birthday of my grandson ... and in 5 years time when he turns 8, the date will be 2/2/22 ... sequences of 2's are a particular inner twin trade mark signature.
While at the April 15 wiki page I noted that it was also the day of the HMS Titanic sinking.  So perusing the list and investigating their wiki pages , I chose the one that stands out:
  • John Thayer, American cricketer (b. 1862)
  • John Borland Thayer II (April 21, 1862 – April 15, 1912)
It didn't pass me by that his surname is a cryptic "There/their".  According to the etymology sources, the surname means "tea pot" in origin. And this is interesting because just the other day I had a t-pot incident: I was in value village and came across a really nice Starbucks t-pot from for only $5... what a steal. It was as big and round as any Brown Betty, butt black as cast iron butt with a new
"modern" appeal.  The place was packed -- it was seniors day (30% off) and all the carts were gone, so I moved along to the cash with my prize t-pot and cast iron omlet pan (another great find).  And there I was nestled safely by the cash, when the person standing behind me bumped forward, and the t-pot cover went tumbling down, shattering as it hit the floor.  No, I didn't have to pay for it, butt I was heart broken.  So Thayer... now you know the rest of the story.   Butt it wasn't his name that stood out, it was the fact that he was born on the 111th day of the year.   A date that has cropped up a number of times in the last couple days.  Keep in mind that at the opposite end of the date spectrum, 9/11 is the day of the year where 111 days remain!!!
