In the middle of the night I awoke and couldn’t get back to sleep. While laying there it occurred to me that it’s only recently that the inner twin world has focussed on their cryptic communication in regards to “flying car” ie gyrocopter. So I thought about anything that I recall in that line, and then I remembered the film that I saw and loved as a kid, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, that’s also the name of the flying car. It then occurred to me that the “bang bang” fits with this “POP” series of posts.
Because I recollect posting about this film, I keyed “Chitty” into the search box, after which I was directed to a few posts, two of which involved the film, one that involved the place name “Chittagong” and another that involved the surname “Chitty”—Now THAT is a twin heads up!!
On reading the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang wiki page, one of the things that stood out, was the question as to where the films name had come from.
The film is based on the 1964 children's novel Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang: The Magical Car by Ian Fleming
So the title was Ian Fleming’s doing. So why… what’s up with the Chitty. Could it be that it means something to him?! Note from the novels wiki page:
Fleming, better known as the creator of James Bond, took his inspiration for the subject from a series of aero-engined racing cars called "Chitty Bang Bang", built by Louis Zborowski in the early 1920s.
So then why did Zborowski come up with the Chitty Bang Bang name?! From the racing cars wiki page:
The origin of the name "Chitty Bang Bang" is disputed, but may have been inspired by aeronautical engineer Letitia Chitty, the sound of an idling aeroplane engine or from a salacious World War I song.
Note from Letitia Chitty’s wiki page:
Her paternal grandfather was the judge Sir Joseph William Chitty
Note from her grandfathers wiki page:
Sir Joseph William Chitty (28 May 1828 – 15 February 1899)
OKAY, so now we have a connection to the post that was brought up as a result of my search— my March 14, 2014 post re: Sir Thomas Hinde RIIP: It Takes a Village to Raise a TUSSH, and because the Thomas Hinde is the pen name of Sir Thomas Willes Chitty, 3rd Baronet . It’s also interesting to note that one of the characters of the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, is a Baron— Gert Fröbe playing Baron Bomburst. So do note the cryptic “Bomb Burst” in the surname— a definite twin heads up!!
!! On following the leads, I arrived at A site, The Chitty Baronetcy, that in turn brought me to the following information:
- Thomas Chitty (1802 – 13 February 1878)
- Sir Joseph Chitty (28 May 1828 – 15 February 1899)
- Sir Thomas Willes Chitty 1st Baronet (24 June 1855 – 15 February 1930)
- Sir Thomas Willes Chitty 3rd Baronet (2 March 1926 – 7 March 2014)
As you can see, we have a connection— Letitia’s paternal grandfather was related to Sir Thomas Chitty as mentioned in my post. AND, note Thomas and Joseph both died on February 15… and note as well the “February 13, __, 15(x2)/Date Sequence” pattern cluster. Hmm, the blank is Valentines Day.
It could very well be that Zborowski was aware of this pattern-cluster… and if not him, his inner twin who then influenced his thoughts and actions.
On perusing the list of cast of the film, one name caught my eye:
- Bernard Spear as Second Spy
Bernard Spear (11 September 1919 – 9 May 2003)
Now THAT speaks cryptic volumes,… and HEY, I’m just the messenger!! I should mention that other words in his surname re “sear sea” also add to the cryptic communication.
You will find pattern clusters evolving from the films list of cast and crew, and you will also find interesting pattern clusters on investigating Ian Fleming.
The 2nd Baron isn’t mentioned on the site, but with a little googling, I was able to locate:
