US Dead Heads (Part 5 ☠️ Jolly Rogers)

Will Rogers Jr.

Waking early this morning, my thoughts went to the recent “US Dead Head” posts, and so I decided to check for any new US politicians added to Wikipedia’s Deaths in 2026 site.

The surname Farrow is an addition to the “Remove a Letter in Name Makes a Word” pattern cluster and so making “arrow”, that connects in cryptic fashion to the above surname “Archer”, and given the recent “Wild West Theme” pattern cluster…, with a  recent focus on Native Americans, … and then there’s also the recent “US Dead Head” series of posts.  This is a twin heads upp to investigate for a Native American Politician who fits into the “Wild West theme”.  I then came to:

Will Rogers, Jr.Will Rogers Jr.
(1911–1993)
CherokeeCalifornia CaliforniaDemocraticJanuary 3, 1943May 23, 1944

As you can see, from the above photo of Will with lasso, he definitely fits the “will/bill”.  Note from his wiki page:

William Vann Rogers (October 20, 1911 – July 9, 1993) son of humorist Will Rogers

His birthday was yesterday… so another addition to the “Off by One” and “Timely” pattern clusters.  Note the following info on a notable person mentioned on his wiki page

  •  Earl Warren (March 19, 1891 – July 9, 1974)

At first I thought he might be related to Roy Rodger’s, who cropped up in my recent July 4, 2026 post:

  • Roy Rogers (born Leonard Franklin Slye; November 5, 1911 – July 6, 1998)

April 17th is also the birthday of my son in law!!  AND, we have another July 6th… Tomorrow!!

Butt they aren’t related… so the surname “Roger’s” is another lead…, and what comes to mind, is the Jolly Roger!!  On researching the Jolly Roger, one particular flag stands out:

Flag of pirate Henry Every, also known as
Henry Avery (20 August 1659; disappeared June
1696)

My father was born on his birthday for one… so an addition to the “Targeting Family Birthdays” pattern cluster, AND, his Jolly Roger flag stands out givne that it wears a hat… and the recent “Hat Theme” pattern cluster.  A pirate bandana is traditionally known as a kerchief or head scarf. it is simply called a pirate bandana, and in modern terms, a do-rag.   Note from the durag wiki page:

durags were further popularized by rappers like … 50 Cent

An addition to the recent “Money Theme” pattern cluster, the group, 50 Cent, is a twin heads upp, note from his wiki page:

Curtis James Jackson III (born July 6, 1975) known professionally as 50 Cent

This is astounding, another addition to the now “July 6(x5)”pattern cluster. Note from my recent July 7, 2026 post,  Time to Gill Net Bennett?!

My posts yesterday included the following notable persons who had cropped up on followingleads:

  • James Caan (March 26, 1940 – July 6, 2022)
  • Guy de Maupassant (Henri René Albert Guy de Maupassant; 5 August 1850 – July 1893)
  • Franklin MacVeagh (November 22, 1837  July , 2934)

A  “July 6” pattern cluster  occurring on July 6th no less!!
On Wikipedia’s Deaths in 2026 site under July 6, I then noted the following:

Lauren Bennett (24 June 1989 – July 2026) 37, singer (G.R.L.)(death announced July 6, 2026)

Her surname, Bennett, is the surname of my of my expartner of 27 years, so a definite twin heads upp. Of the first notable persons mentioned on Lauren’s wiki page, the following info definitely fits the bill:

I then googled “Native american person and notable politician wearing a bandana”, and AI brought up:

The person you are likely thinking of is Ben Nighthorse Campbell. He is a notable politician, an enrolled member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe, and a former U.S. Senator from Colorado who was well-known for his distinctive style, which frequently included a ponytail and a red bandana

On Ben Nighthorse Campbell’s wiki page, I noted a photo of him with the then US President George Bush:

Campbell with President George W. Bush in 2004

 Note from Bush’s wiki page:

George Walker Bush (born July 6, 1946)

And so the cluster expands   “July 6(x6)”pattern cluster.

I didn’t find a photo of Ben wearing a red bandana, butt found the following image of him wearing a US flag bandana:

I did investigate other areas before the above.

ie: Other notable persons mentioned on Will Roger’s wiki page:

  • Lyndon Baines Johnson (August 27, 1908  January 22, 1973)

  • George H. McLain (June 24, 1901 – July 12, 1965)
  • Ellis Ellwood Patterson (November 28, 1897 – August 25, 1985)
  • William Fife Knowland (June 26, 1908 – February 23, 1974)

On researching Jolly Roger as our next lead, I arrived at the following info on notable persons who stand out:

Woodes Rogers (c.1679 15 July 1732)

Alexander Selkirk (1676  13 December 1721)

 George II (George Augustus; 30 October / 9 November 168325 October 1760)

Henry Every, also known as Henry Avery (born 20 August 1659; disappeared June 1696)

His Jolly Roger flag stands out givne that it wears a hat… and the recent “Hat Theme” pattern cluster.

Howell Davis (also spelled Hywel and Daviesc.1690  19 June 1719

Olivier Levasseur (1688, 1689, or 1690 – 7 July 1730), was a French pirate, nicknamed La Buse ("The Buzzard") or La Bouche("The Mouth"

Anne Dieu-le-Veut (28 August 1661  11 January 1710) was a French pirate. Alongside Jacquotte Delahaye, she was one of very few female buccaneers.

Long John Silver

Silver is voiced by Brian Murray and depicted as an extraterrestrial cyborg in the Disney 2002 animated science fiction adventure film Treasure Planet
