All - H.A.N.D.S. - on - D.E.C.K.— Megan MacGregor!!

At the end of my previous post, I made reference to the phrase “All Hands on Deck”: 

of, relating to, or being a situation in which every available person is needed or called to assist

This was influenced by my inner twin, of that I’m certain,… especially after having investigated a film of the same name:

Since Rob and Trish MacGregor are husband and wife novelists, I investigated this section further, and came to one couple who stood out given their surname “Close”:  

• Elizabeth Close (née Scheu; 4 June 1912 – 29 November 2011)
• William Close (June 7, 1924 – January 15, 2009)

Yet another June 7!!  AND January 15 is the birthday of both my son and recently ex-partner (of 27 years), who are born 22 years apart.  The surname is an addition to four clusters: the “Name is Word” pattern cluster; the “Remove a Letter Makes a Word” pattern cluster and the “Add a Letter makes a Word” pattern cluster, and the “Replace a Letter with Another Makes a Word” pattern cluster, and so making:  “close”, “lose”, “closet”, “whose”, “chose”,  and “clone”.  

Venturing to the MacGregor’s blog, I came across one they wrote for Megan’s birthday,… and found it meaningful, note this excerpt from the post (I highlighted the more meaningful part below in black w/ white print):

So, 33 years ago, at 8:10 PM, our daughter Megan came into the world and changed our lives forever.

I remember looking into her vivid blue eyes and wondering what her passions would be, what she had come in to experience in this life.  I promised her that we would do whatever we could to support those passions.

Around 1:30 on the morning of September 1, a nurse from the nursery brought Megan in for a feeding.  I was still exhausted after more than 30 hours of labor and after the nurse had picked her up again, my head sank into the pillow.

But suddenly, I heard someone call my name. I sat up and glanced around the room. I was in a ward with 4 other women and they were all asleep. The door  to the room was shut. I plopped my head down, determined to get some sleep. Then it happened again, someone calling my name. This time I realized it was an internal voice so  opened myself to it and said, “Okay, whatever this is, show me.”

I had the distinct impression of a blond woman of about 40, 45, who said her name was Megan. She asked for information- about when and where she was born, what Rob & I were writing at the time, where we were living, about the specifics of our lives and the world. In her time, she said, climate change had resulted in destroyed records and land.

In 1989, the phrase climate change wasn’t common.

THAT, was Trish’s inner twin speaking on behalf of her/their daughter, Megan, and the inner twin world!!
