W

Continuing on from my previous post, … and while sitting at Starbucks, it dawned on me— the buck in Starbucks!!  On the Starbucks wiki page and limiting our search to names that fit— additions to the recent and prolific “Remove a Letter From Name Makes a Word” pattern cluster, we arrive at:

  • Alfred H. Peet (March 10, 1920 – August 29, 2007) pet
  • Sir James Paul McCartney (born 18 June 1942) jams pal
  • Salmon Portland Chase (January 13, 1808 – May 7, 1873) case
  • John Pierpont Morgan (April 17, 1837 – March 31, 1913) organ
  • Henry Sturgis Morgan Sr. (October 24, 1900 – February 8, 1982)organ
  • John Thompson (November 27, 1802 – April 19, 1891) twin son (trump card)
  • Walter Elias Disney (December 5, 1901 – December 15, 1966) water; alter
  • Roy Oliver Disney (June 24, 1893 – December 20, 1971) liver; olive
Some of the dates stand out for sure, butt I’m going to go with Chase… because the surname is a word for one, and it makes “case”… and I’m involved in a civil case at the moment.  His birthday also has personal meaning in that many of my close relatives are born in January during odd days— January 15 (x2– son and ex partner); January 19 (brother), January 21 (daughter), January 23 (grandson).  Also I was born on the 13th (June) and my car crash occurred on December 13, 2000.  And May 7 is meaningful because this month is May…, and my first name, the date providing a cryptic “may &(and)…”.  I take this as a prompt to return to Wikipedia’s 2024 list of notable deaths occurring on May 7.  The following stands out now (in hindsight):
  • Jan "PtaszynWróblewski (27 March 1936 – 7 May 2024)
  • Jan Helge Jansen (1 July 1937 – 7 May 2024)
Two more additions to the recent “Names Beginning with Jan” pattern cluster.  Keep in mind the name Janus is for the twin headed Roman God.

On viewing the Buck surname wiki page, one caught my eye:
  • Carrie Buck (1906–1983), unsuccessful plaintiff in Buck v. Bell, which upheld compulsory sterilization
As you can see, it involves  a legal/court “case”… and there’s a “car” in Carrie.  The first person on the case’s wiki page:
  • Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. (March 8, 1841 – March 6, 1935)
Note the “liver/olive” in Oliver, and “homes” in Holmes!!  Note his birth and death day!!

The Buck in the court case is:

  • Carrie Elizabeth Buck (July 3, 1906 – January 28, 1983)
Her date of death is an addition to a cluster in my previous post, making it now a “January 28 (x4)” pattern cluster .  Note the following notable persons mentioned on the case’s wiki page:
  • Sir Francis Galton (16 February 1822 – 17 January 1911)
  • Albert Sidney Priddy (December 7, 1865 – January 13, 1925)
  • John Hendren Bell (19 November 1883– 9 December 1934)
I didn’t go any further than that, butt decided to go to the Eugenics  wiki page, and came to:

  • Karl Pearson (27 March 1857 – 27 April 1936
  • Edwin Black (born February 27, 1950)
  • Robert Anson Heinlein (July 7, 1907 – May 8, 1988)
Note the 27th day pattern cluster in the works— “February 27, March 27(x2), April 27, May 27, __,… November 27/ 27th Day, Month Sequence” pattern cluster!!

Going back to Oliver Holmes and the cluster formed in his date of birth and death, that’s a prompt for us to venture to the March 7 wiki page using the formula as per usual and taking into consideration the “One Off” cluster, we arrive at… (and keep in mind that this day during non leap year is the 66th day):
Going back through Wikipedia’s Deaths in 2024 site, I noted the following recent addition who stands out:

Note the “Actor” in Wactor!!  The “W” is a cryptic “double you/ewe”… and note the Whack factor!!  Note from his wiki page:

John W. Wactor III (August 31, 1986 – May 25, 2024)

Note his birthday!!  The Birthday of Megan MacGregor (see recent posts).

Another thing regarding “Buck”… a character I remember from the original tv series Battlestar Gallactic

One of his films stands out given the “W”

1974WWilliam Cauldera.k.a. I Want Her Dead

Release date
  • June 27, 1974
