Álvaro Mutis, 90, Colombian poet, novelist and essayist.[1]Today being the 22nd is significant given that sequences of 2's are a particular inner twin trademark signature when it comes to generating pattern-clusters, so any notable person passing away on this day warrants further investigation
Álvaro Mutis Jaramillo (August 25, 1923 - September 22, 2013)Alvaro's birthday, August 25th is also my Grand daughters birthday, hence an addition to "Targeting Family Birthdays" pattern-cluster.

From the Old Norse name Alfarr meaning "elf army", formed of the elements alfr "elf" and arr "warrior".I wasn't able to find the etymology of his surname Mutis, butt it's similarity to the word "mute" is more than obvious. I keyed in "Mutis" in the search box on the etymology site, and it actually brought up something:
- mutism (n.) "state of being mute," 1824, from French mutisme (1741), from Latin mutus (see mute (adj.)).
- mute (adj.)
- late 14c., mewet "silent," from Old French muet "dumb, mute" (12c.), diminutive of mut, mo, from Latin mutus "silent, speechless, dumb," probably from imitative base *meue- (cf. Sanskrit mukah "dumb," Greek myein "to be shut," of the mouth). Form assimilated in 16c. to Latin mutus.
- mute (v.)
- "deaden the sound of," 1861, from mute (n.). Related: Muted; muting.
- mute (n.)
- 1570s, "stage actor in a dumb show;" 1610s as "person who does not speak," from mute (adj.). Musical sense first recorded 1811 of stringed instruments, 1841, of horns.
