US Dead Heads (Part 7: Knott a Dead Head, so Hal is a Very Jolly Rogers)

US Politician
Harold Dallas Rogers ( born December 31, 1937) (age 88)

Note the cryptic “hard old alas rogers” in his name.  In arriving at this meaningful politician in timely fashion, I had begun with a bit of a recap in regards to the “US Deadhead” series of posts, that are:

July 12, 2026: US Dead Heads (Part 6 ☠️: Lindsey Graham and Not So Jolly Kasey Rogers)

July 10, 2026: US Dead Heads (Part 5 ☠️ Jolly Rogers)

June 5, 2026: US Dead Heads (Part 1)

June 4, 2026: Check Land, Cheque Land !! UPDATED June 5, 2026

The last post, June 4th,  doesn’t include “US Dead Heads” in its title, although technically the series was launched from there, note this excerpt:

So just now, a second person with the surname “Head”, was added to the list:

AND do note — they celebrate the same birthday— February 20th, and so we also now have a “February 20 (x2)” pattern cluster…

Even before the “Head Surname (x2)” pattern cluster had cropped up, I had been investigating US Politician deaths, note from my June 5th post,  US Dead Heads (Part 1) :

The  information below, is what I’ve been accumulating via research — after picking up on what appeared to be a rash of US Politician Deaths (mostly Democrat) during the months of March and April, and then as you can see by the research , it then dropped significantly during May (when I discovered the seeming exorbitant deaths of US “Heads” in the moths of March and April.

Note the following summary breakdown of each of the last three completed months in 2026:
    • March total of 39 : 14 Republicans , 24 Democrats and 1 independent
    • April total of 32: 23 are Democrats and 9 are Republicans
    • May total of 2012 Democrats; Republican; 1 Black Panther; 1 Independent

If you read the rest of the post, there’s a list of the notable politicians for each of the three months.

On my June 8th post,  US Dead Heads (Part 2– THEY The People’s Head), and because it was Trish MacGregor’s birthday on June 7th, I ventured to the MacGregor blog, note this excerpt:

decided to venture to the MacGregor’s blog to see whatsup on their end, … and le voi la, their May 29th post,  Daily…Corruption, definitely fits the jiving bill, note this excerpt:

Yep, we jive once again!!  An indication that we’re on the right track “wright” track.

It’s not until my July 6 post,  US Dead Heads (Part 4: Iron Tail), that I provide a list of Notable US Politicians who passed away in June 2026, note this excerpt in regards to the now 4 complete, last 4 months:

  • March total of 39: 24 Democrats, 14 Republicans1 Independent
  • April total of   32: 23 Democrats,   9 Republicans
  • May total of    2012 Democrats,   Republican, 1 Black Panther, 1 Independent
  • June total of    2316 Democrat,     Republican

Again, if you want to see the entire list for June you can venture to the post.

Finally, note the following notable US politicians added to Wikipedia’s Deaths in 2026 site so far during the month of July:

  1. Lindsey Graham (July 9, 1955 – July 11, 2026)U.S. Senate; House of Rep                    Republican

  9. Kenneth Cox(October 8, 1928 – July 1, 2026) Ohio House of Rep; Senate                   Democrat

Woah… now THAT’s a big switcheroo, 11 days in and we have 6 Republican and only 2 Democrat!! What’s upp with THAT… and some still fairly young?!

So in following the lead, I put the question to cyberspace:  who are the oldest still living notable Republican politicians? Note AI answer:

Some of the oldest still-living notable Republican politicians, including prominent former national figures, cabinet members, and congressional leaders, feature several notable centenarians and long-serving statesmen: [1234]
    • James L. Buckley (born March 9, 1923): Former U.S. Senator from New York. Although elected in 1970 on the Conservative Party line, he caucused with the Republicans and later served in prominent executive branch roles as Under Secretary of State under the Reagan administration.
    • George Shultz (Born December 13, 1920) was one of the longest-living notable Republicans, but he passed away in 2021.
    • Bob Dole (Born July 22, 1923), the longtime Senate Majority Leader and 1996 presidential nominee, passed away in 2021.
    • Alexander Haig (Born December 2, 1924), who served as Secretary of State under President Ronald Reagan, passed away in 2010. [123]
Note on current officeholders:
    • Chuck Grassley (R-IA) is currently the oldest sitting U.S. Senator. Born September 17, 1933, he has served in Congress since 1975.
    • Mitch McConnell (R-KY), the former long-serving Senate Majority Leader born on February 20, 1942, is another key figure in this age bracket, though younger than the retired statesmen mentioned above
Except on investigating each of their wiki pages…. They’re all dead?!  :
Bumm steer!!  Butt then, note two of the dates are February 20th… that brings us back to the above two notable Heads who recently passed away
I decided to investigate further, and came to a site List of current US Reps, and limiting our search to only Republicans, I chose the ones who stood out the most beginning with not only the oldest, BUTT, his surname is ROGERS… and so another addition to the “Roger’s Surname” and the “Jolly Roger Theme” pattern clusters:

There was one Democrat that I personally feel is worth mentioning:

Ohio 3
