DAD and The August 27 Club

Last week, my father passed away one week after his 97th birthday.  He was a remarkable man who was well loved.  In the event of his passing, I had forgotten about the significance of the day until I read a recent facebook post by his sister:

There is another relative that Angie forgot, butt my earlier blog post will fill you in:

On August 21st my post, Cross Over -- Hug O, states the following:
...there's been much ado about what day the baby will be born. This was written by my aunt (my fathers half sister) on wednesday:
    • ... If its' on the 21st, that would be great, it was my mothers birthday ortherwise, if they want to wait until the 27th, that was my fathers birthday, your uncle Jim's birthday and our son Traviss' bd.(RIP Traviss) but maybe a nudge for your father's birthday would be best. Take her for a drive on a bumpy road...
So for the record, the new baby girl in our family was born on August 27th, along with the birthday of my two uncles and my cousin Travis and now my great niece, we now have 4 family members born on August 27th!!  That's quite an "August 27" pattern-cluster.

So we now have an “August 27th Family Birth(4)/Death (x1)” Pattern  Cluster.

It occurred to me that there might be a cryptic link to the “27 Club”, note this excerpt from the History section of it’s wikipedia page:

… "it wasn't until Kurt Cobain took his own life in 1994 that the idea of the 27 Club arrived in the popular zeitgeist.

What peaked my curiosity was the word zeitgeist,… and since there’s a link to follow, I clicked on it, where I arrived  at this excerpt:

The term is usually associated with Georg W. F. Hegel…

And so, another link to click on,… note from Georg Hegel’s wikipedia page:

Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (27 August 1770 – 14 November 1831)

WHOA!!  He too was born on August 27th!!!!!!

Note this next excerpt from the Zeitgeist wiki page:

Its coinage and popularization precede Hegel, and are mostly due to Herder and Goethe.

Note from the wiki pages of the other two mentioned:

  • Johann Gottfried von Herder (25 August 1744 – 18 December 1803)
  • Johann Wolfgang von Goethe(28 August 1749 – 22 March 1832)

We now have an “August 25(x2), __, 27(x6), 28/ Date Sequence” pattern cluster in the works,… I included another August 25 since this is also the birthday of my granddaughter.  This is a prompt to bridge the August 26 gap.  Using the formula as per usual, we arrive at:

2000 – Bunny Austin (26 August 1906 – 26 August 2000)  English tennis player

He died on his birthday and so an addition to the “Birthday Blues” pattern cluster as well as adding to the now  August 25(x2), 26(x2), 27(x6), 28/ Date Sequence” pattern cluster.  So, we can stop there,… butt what if we are being prompted to locate the intended 2nd August 8th?  Using the formula again, we then arrive at:

    • 1888 – Evadne Price (28 August 1888 – 17 April 1985) actress, astrologer, author
She passed away on my son-in-law’s birthday.  And do note the cryptic “evade price” in her name.  What do you suppose this means?!
