The inner twin world stalk me. That's simply a truth that I've known for a number of years now. It is what it is. If I could describe what it feels like:
On the James Caird (boat) wiki page, I thought this excerpt was worth exploring further:
You're on the sea, your surfboard tucked beneath you. You're calm... things are as usual. The waves are out there, so you keep an eagles eye... waiting for the swells to hint at the one that promises to take you on a ride to beat the last. Everything has to be right to "catch a wave". And then in a flash something has changed. Before you see it... you feel it. In the instant that the hair raises at the back of your neck you know that your choices are limited: ride the wave or die. Rogue waves don't happen often, and when they do, there's hell to pay. This analogy didn't just creep into my mind any more than my choice of "Ocean" for my surname did over 30 years ago. So I googled "how to ride a rogue wave surfing" and came to:
Studying And Surfing The Ocean's Monster Waves : NPRSep 11, 2010Note the date... this is the 3rd time that "9/11" has cropped up in this series of posts today. On investigating author Susan Casey further, I come across the wiki page of another of her novels,
The date of June 7 speaks volumes. It's Trish MacGregor's birthday. AND, an addition to another cluster coming out of the wild blue yonder of cyber space today:
- The Devil's Teeth: A True Story of Obsession and Survival Among America's Great White Sharks is a non-fiction book about great white sharks by American journalist Susan Casey. The text was initially published by Henry Holt and Company on June 7, 2005.
Investigating further I then came across a wiki page, List of Rogue Waves. The list was fairly long, and I was about to give up on it until I came to:
- "June 7, _, _, _, 11, 12, 13, 14(x2), 15/ Date Sequence" pattern cluster.
The six-year-old, 37,134-ton barge carrier MS München was lost at sea in 1978. At 3 a.m. on 12 December 1978 she sent out a garbled maydayIt's the name of the barge-- the MS München, that caught my eye. Note the following recent 3 post titles on January 4: Munchin Sunch with Punch (UPDATE) ; Crunchin Munchkin Wallflowers; Crunch and Munch. All that's missing is the two dots over the u... that 'audly' enough looks like wide open eyes over a BIG SMILE ü . And so, I consider this a prompt to investigate further. I decided to limit my search to the investigation of only the events that mentions actual people. The first event I came across had not just one, butt two names, one being the lifeboat (a small sail boat) that was named after a sponsor of their enterprise, both have wiki pages that provides the following info:
Our dog Bailey was born on the anniversary of Shackleton's death... This is the second time this date has cropped up in todays posts, and given that we've also had a January 6th. James Caird's birthday is TODAY, and so we now have a: "January 5(x2), 6, 7, 8/Date Sequence" pattern-cluster. I included January 8th since this is my stepson's birthday.
- Ernest Shackleton (15 February 1874 – 5 January 1922)
- James Caird (7 January 1837 – 9 March 1916)
On the James Caird (boat) wiki page, I thought this excerpt was worth exploring further:
Before its voyage ship's carpenter Harry McNish strengthened and adapted the boat to withstand the mighty seas
Note his date of birth... this is the 4th time that "9/11" has cropped up in todays series of posts!! His name is curious... a cryptic McNiche... and note the etymology:
- Henry McNish (11 September 1874—24 September 1930)
Three other names I'm familiar with also crop up in the list, the first two were given as the names of boats and the third is the Leader of the Kon Tiki expedition:
- McNish: a shortened Aonghus, meaning "enterprise".
- enterprise (n.) "take in hand"..."spirit of daring"
- niche (n.) niche "recess"... Old French nichier " build a nest,"
And so the cluster expands yet again: "January 5(x2), 6(x2), 7, 8/Date Sequence" pattern-cluster
- Joan of Arc (6 January c. 1412 – 30 May 1431)
- Thor Heyerdahl (October 6, 1914 – April 18, 2002)
- Michelangelo (6 March 1475 – 18 February 1564)
