Cap'n Crunch's Lafitte LaFoote

So we come now to Cap'n Crunch.  He's not a pirate though...or maybe he is. Nothing will surprise me any more... look what happened to Jolly ole Saint Nick-- a Devil, no less!! And it appears that Cap'n Crunch had a skeleton or two in his closet.  Note from his wiki page:
When the inner twin world bring up the topic of "foote", it's never good, just ask the MacGregor's.

In the case of Lafitte, there's no birthday or day of death listed on his wiki page and so we're left to investigate his page until a notable person crops up ... one who fits:
Richard Rush (August 29, 1780 – July 30, 1859)
By now, you should be aware that his birthday and Megan MacGregor's birthday generate an "August 29, __, 31/ Date Sequence" pattern-cluster.
There's a film that features Lafitte: Saxon's novel was adapted for the Cecil B. DeMille movie The Buccaneer (1938).In the film, note the actors who fit :
  • Fredric March (August 31, 1897 – April 14, 1975) as Lafitte
  • Robert Harriot Barrat (July 10, 1889 – January 7, 1970) as Captain Brown
  • Stanley Andrews (August 28, 1891 – June 23, 1969)
  • Jeanie MacPherson (May 18, 1886[1] – August 26, 1946)
  • Luana Walters (July 22, 1912 – May 19, 1963)
  • Edwin Justus Mayer (November 8, 1896 – September 11, 1960)
In another film about the pirate:
  • Charles Boyer (28 August 1899 – 26 August 1978)
