When Mt. Tambora blew its top in 1813, the extra ash in the atmosphere caused global temperatures to fall by as much as three degrees. Let's hope it holds off a little longer!
The above mention of Mt. Tambora is an addition to the "Volcano Eruption" pattern-cluster.
