Mt. Tambora Volcano Eruption

While checking the Nova Scotia weather site, I noticed the following in the side bar:
Did you know?
When Mt. Tambora blew its top in 1813, the extra ash in the atmosphere caused global temperatures to fall by as much as three degrees. Let's hope it holds off a little longer!
