Well, the Halloween Theme just keeps on growing!!
In Part 3, I followed the Peter/Rock/Stone Theme through several notable Peter Stones, eventually arriving at the film Father Goose, written by PETER STONE, and actor JACK GOOD!!
JACK, of course, connects with the Halloween jack-o'-lantern, made from a carved-out pumpkin.
AND then came Canadian pumpkin breeder Howard William DILL (July 11, 1934 – May 20, 2008), famously known as the PUMPKIN KING!!
Dill grew his giant pumpkins right here in Nova Scotia, where I also live!
So naturally, I figured that if we have a Pumpkin King, we need a Halloween Queen!!
AND who should crop upp?!
ELVIRA, MISTRESS OF THE DARK!!
The famous horror hostess, often called the QUEEN OF HALLOWEEN, portrayed by actress Cassandra PETERSON, born September 17, 1951.
PETERSON?!
PETER + SON!!
Remember the famous nursery rhyme, “Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater”?!
AND how the name PETER has repeatedly cropped upp as I've followed Wikipedia's recent notable deaths throughout September and October?!
So now PETER is literally embedded in the surname of the actress who portrays the HALLO-QUEEN!!
Another addition to the “Word in Name” (wc) pattern cluster, and a particularly interesting addition to the “Timely” Halloween Theme!!
BUTT, investigating Cassandra Peterson's Wikipedia page produced another set of interesting discoveries.
And this time, something much more personal began taking shape.
The HALLO-QUEEN and the 23rd DAY!!
While investigating notable people mentioned in Cassandra Peterson's Wikipedia biography, the following two immediately caught my attention:
Anne Meara (September 20, 1929 – May 23, 2015).
Katherine Marie Helmond (July 5, 1929 – February 23, 2019).
Notice their dates of death?!
MAY 23!!
FEBRUARY 23!!
Two deaths occurring on the 23rd day of different months!!
AND, as those familiar with my research will know, the 23rd has particular meaning in my own family.
My mother was born November 23 and died July 23.
So both her birth and death occurred on the 23rd!!
Hmmm!!
I began wondering whether a new “23rd Day” pattern cluster might be taking shape.
BUTT, before pursuing that lead further, there were several other notable names and dates on Cassandra's Wikipedia page that deserved attention.
More Family Birthdays and Death Days!!
First, there's Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977).
Elvis's birthday is January 8, the birthday of my stepson Gillman, a date associated with some very difficult experiences in my own life.
AND Elvis was famously known as the KING OF ROCK AND ROLL!!
ROCK?!
Remember the PETER/ROCK/STONE Theme?!
Next is Lord Alfred Hayes, whose full name was Alfred George James Hayes (August 8, 1928 – July 21, 2005).
August 8?!
That's the birthday of my former husband, Allison, another date with difficult personal associations.
Then there's Lynne Marie Stewart (December 14, 1946 – February 21, 2025).
DECEMBER 14?!
That's my sister Linda's birthday!!
AND then there's Kim Petras, born August 27, 1992.
PETRAS?!
Another variation containing PETR, recalling the Czech form of PETER that cropped upp earlier in this Halloween series through footballer Petr Slaný!!
BUTT, note her birthday:
AUGUST 27!!
That is the day my father died, and it belongs to one of the most significant clusters I've documented involving birth and death anniversaries in my family.
Another addition to my “Targeting Family Birthdays and Deathdays” pattern cluster.
Among the other people mentioned in Cassandra's biography was Francis Fitzgerald “Larry” Vincent, a television horror host who preceded Elvira.
His birthday was June 14, 1924. His name also offers several possibilities for my cryptic wordplay categories, particularly FITZ and CENT within VINCENT.
AND, of course, his association with horror television brings us right back to Halloween!!
So already, from a single Wikipedia biography, we have dates associated with several members of my family, two deaths occurring on the 23rd day, another PETR, and an additional ROCK connection through Elvis Presley.
Hmmm!!
The Cryptic Words in Names!!
Those familiar with my research will know that I don't follow dates alone.
The words, letters and sounds within names also form part of my pattern clusters.
Among the fragments I've recorded while investigating Cassandra Peterson and the people connected with her are:
ASS, SAND, CAR, SON, MEAR, EAR, MAR, HER, HELL, PRESS, TRUTH, FITZ, CENT, ALL, FREE, GORGE, JAMS, HAY, AYES, STEW, WAR, ART, PET, EXTRAS.
Some are literal words contained within names; others involve removing or exchanging letters, or phonetic associations.
For instance, CASSANDRA contains ASS and SAND.
CARSON can be divided into CAR + SON.
STEWART suggests STEW + ART.
PETRAS gives us PET and PETR.
And PETERSON contains PETER!!
I'm keeping the longer cryptic investigation separate for now, because the dates have begun forming a particularly interesting cluster of their own.
And that brings me to the next lead.
Enter JOHNNY CARSON… On His BIRTHDAY!!
The name CARSON appeared while investigating Cassandra Peterson's early life, including her performances at Fort Carson.
That brought me to another famous Carson:
JOHNNY CARSON, whose full name was John William Carson.
Note his dates:
Born: OCTOBER 23, 1925.
Died: JANUARY 23, 2005.
OCTOBER 23?!
THAT'S TODAY!!
October 23, 2026, marks exactly 101 years since Johnny Carson's birth!!
An addition to the “Timely” pattern cluster!!
BUTT, there's more!!
Carson died on JANUARY 23.
JANUARY 23 IS MY GRANDSON MANNY'S BIRTHDAY!!
AND Carson was born on the 23rd day and died on the 23rd day!!
Recall that my own mother was also born and died on the 23rd day, November 23 and July 23 respectively.
So now we have two people, Johnny Carson and my mother, whose birth and death dates both fall on the 23rd DAY!!
AND one of Carson's dates is TODAY, while the other is my grandson's birthday!!
That's particularly interesting to me because it brings together three of my established research categories:
“Timely”
“Targeting Family Birthdays and Deathdays”
“23rd Day”

Naturally, my next step was to investigate Johnny Carson's Wikipedia page, concentrating especially on notable people whose birth or death dates also fall on the 23rd.
AND what should I find?!
ED McMAHON… PETER and the 23rd DAY!!
Johnny Carson's famous longtime announcer and sidekick was Ed McMahon.
BUTT, his full name was:
EDWARD LEO PETER McMAHON JR.!!
PETER?!
Yes, another PETER!!
AND note his dates:
Born: March 6, 1923.
Died: June 23, 2009.
JUNE 23?!
Another death occurring on the 23rd!!
AND he was born in 1923!!
So now we have Johnny Carson, born and deceased on the 23rd, and his longtime television partner Ed McMahon, whose middle name was PETER, who was born in 1923 and died June 23!!
Another addition to BOTH the Peter Theme and the 23rd Day Theme!!
Hmmm!!
DREW CAREY… MAY 23!!
Continuing through Johnny Carson's Wikipedia page, another name stood out:
Drew Allison Carey, born May 23, 1958.
MAY 23?!
Another 23rd!!
AND, of course, MAY happens to be my name!!
His middle name is ALLISON, another name with personal meaning in my family history.
So now consider what I've encountered while following these leads:
Anne Meara — died May 23, 2015.
Katherine Helmond — died February 23, 2019.
Johnny Carson — born October 23, 1925, and died January 23, 2005.
Edward Leo Peter McMahon — born in 1923 and died June 23, 2009.
Drew Allison Carey — born May 23, 1958.
Five people, with six birth or death dates occurring on the 23rd day!!
And that's without including my mother's two dates and my grandson's January 23 birthday.
For now, this is the cluster I want to concentrate on.
BUTT, the research into Carson's Wikipedia page produced other connections to the previous Halloween posts as well!!
The BIRD Theme Returns… AND Doctor DILLY!!
Did you know that early in his television career, Johnny Carson hosted a program called The Squirrel's Nest?!
One of his comedy routines involved interviewing PIGEONS on the roof of a courthouse!!
PIGEONS?!
Another addition to our ongoing Bird Theme!!
AND it gets better.
Among Carson's famous television characters was Carnac the Magnificent, a supposed psychic who answered questions contained in sealed envelopes.
His jokes were often followed by elaborate mock curses directed at the audience.
One involved a FLOCK OF WILD GEESE!!
GEESE?!
Remember Part 3 and PETER STONE's film FATHER GOOSE?!
Another GOOSE association!!
AND among Carson's other comic characters were:
DOCTOR DILLY!!
AND
THE AMAZING DILLINGER!!
DILLY?!
DILLINGER?!
Remember our PUMPKIN KING, Howard DILL?!
Both names contain DILL!!
Another addition to my “Word in Name” pattern cluster!!
There was even a recurring Carson comedy routine involving the proclamation that the KING was dead, followed by the announcement that the KING lived!!
Another KING association, this time through Johnny Carson himself, famously known as the King of Late Night.
Another PETER… and a Recent Death!!
Johnny Carson's Wikipedia page also mentions television producer Peter Lassally (October 14, 1932 – July 19, 2026).
Another PETER!!
AND he died only this past July!!
Lassally worked with Johnny Carson and later David Letterman, so this is a direct professional connection rather than just another name found through a general search.
And there's another date worth mentioning.
One of Carson's early influences was comedian Red Skelton, who died September 17, 1997.
SEPTEMBER 17?!
Remember the HALLO-QUEEN herself?!
Cassandra PETERSON was born September 17, 1951!!
So Carson's research trail brings us back to the same calendar date as the woman whose biography started this investigation!!

HALLOWEEN WARS and the PUMPKIN KING!!
Returning to Cassandra Peterson, there's another connection worth documenting.
Elvira has appeared on the television competition program Halloween Wars, which features elaborate creations made from pumpkins, candy and cakes.
One of its former hosts was magician Justin Willman.
Note his birthday:
JULY 11, 1980!!
JULY 11?!
Remember Howard William DILL, the PUMPKIN KING?!
Howard Dill — born July 11, 1934.
Justin Willman — born July 11, 1980.
Two men associated with pumpkins, whose birthdays fall on the same calendar day!!
AND Carson himself began performing magic tricks as a boy!!
Another interesting link involving magic and entertainment.
There's also Cassandra Peterson's own 1988 feature film, Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, bringing the whole research trail right back to its Halloween beginning.
The 23rd Day… Where to Next?!
So consider how this particular research trail has developed.
We began with the recurring PETER names in Wikipedia's recent notable deaths.
That brought in ROCK, STONE and the Bird Theme.
PETER STONE led to FATHER GOOSE and JACK GOOD.
JACK brought us to Halloween jack-o'-lanterns and the PUMPKIN KING, Howard DILL.
Looking for the Hallo-Queen brought us to Elvira, portrayed by Cassandra PETERSON.
PETER + SON!!
AND investigating Cassandra's Wikipedia page brought me to Anne Meara, Katherine Helmond, Elvis Presley, Lynne Marie Stewart, Kim Petras and other notable people whose dates and names contributed to my established pattern clusters.
Following the CARSON lead brought me to Johnny Carson, who was born TODAY, OCTOBER 23, and died January 23—my grandson Manny's birthday!!
AND Carson's own biography led to other notable people associated with the 23rd, as well as another PETER, more birds, and even DILL!!
There are now several overlapping patterns, each of which can be recorded and examined separately. I continue to wonder about the meaning of their convergence, while recognizing that matching dates and names do not themselves establish an intended communication.
BUTT, the most interesting discovery in this particular research session is clearly the emerging:
“23rd DAY” PATTERN CLUSTER!!
Particularly because my mother's birth and death both occurred on the 23rd, Johnny Carson's birth and death both occurred on the 23rd, and Carson's January 23 death coincides with Manny's birthday.
AND, as I write this, it's October 23!!
With Halloween only eight days away, the Peter/Pet/Pierre/Bird/Rock/Stone/Halloween Theme continues!!
