Laws, Court, Bar, Scales

The following notable persons recently added to Wikipedia’s Deaths in 2025 site stands out:

John Laws (8 August 1935 – 9 November 2025) 90, Australian radio, television presenter (2UE, 2SM, Beauty and the Beast).

Ermanno Fasoli (9 November 1943 – 9 November 2025)  82, Italian Olympic boxer (1964).

Fasoli passing away on his birthday is yet another addition to the “Birthday Blues” pattern cluster.  

As for John Laws, not only does his surname stand out, butt his birthday is also the birthday of my exhusband.  That his birthday crops up is meaningful, given that I was just preparing to post about a recent “8th Day” cluster among recent notable deaths as found on Wikipedia’s Deaths in 2025 site, and again, I didn’t realize how profound the cluster (as is often the case) until I followed leads.  

So before Laws birthday above, the following additions to Wikipedia’s Deaths in 2025 site had caught my attention: 

• Vaidyeswaran Rajaraman (8 September 1933 – 8 November 2025)
• RichardJohn Sinclair Laws (8 August 1935 – 9 November 2025)
• Arturo de la Cruz Feliciani (8 May 1937 – 7 November 2025)
• Marshawn Kneeland (July 8, 2001 – November 6, 2025) 
• Louis Schweitzer (8 July 1942 – 6 November 2025)

And the last two having the same birthday and day of death, was enough for me to investigate further after the following from yesterdays post,Hi Waves 👋 to High Waves 🌊: 

• Ilona Kassai (née Hiller; 8 July 1928 – 28 October 2025) 97, actress 

We now have a “May8, __, July 8(x3), August 8, September 8/ 8th Day, Date Sequence” pattern cluster. 

As you can see, we have three notable persons born on July 8th who passed away in the last 10 days!!  

So I went back to the Deaths in 2025 site under October 28, 2025, and investigated from there and found another July 8th: 

• Héctor Eugenio Noguera Illanes (July 8, 1937 – October 28, 2025) 

So once again, two notable persons sharing the same birthday, July 8th,  pass away on the same day!!  On investigating other days after until today, I found more additions to the 8th day cluster… with 4 occurring on the same day— October 30, 2025: 

• Stanley Fung Shui-fan (8 November 1944 – 31 October 2025) 
• Klaus Scharioth (8 October 1946 – 30 October 2025)************
• Steven Lowell Hargan (September 8, 1942 – October 30, 2025)*******
• Karin Margareta Glenmark (8 April 1952 – 30 October 2025)******
• Charles Coste (8 February 1924 – 30 October 2025) **************
• Gladys Stone Wright (March 8, 1925 – October 29, 2025)
• Hans Jörg Stetter (8 April 1930 – 27 October 2025)

And so the cluster over the last 2 weeks is now: 

a “__, February 8, March 8, April 8(x2), May8, __, July 8(x3), August 8, September 8(x2), October 8, November 8/ 8th Day, Date Sequence” pattern cluster.

So coming back now to the surname “Laws”… this is an addition to the recent “Justice/Law Theme” pattern cluster, as noted in my recent October 29, 2025 post, Scales, Court, Bar,… , note the following excerpt from the post:

• Ivan Court, Canadian politician, mayor of Saint John, New Brunswick (2008–2012).^[5] (death announced on this date)

The surnames “Court” and “Bar”, together with yesterday’s “Scales” generate a  “Justice/Law Theme” pattern cluster.  Note from my previous post,  22 Supreme Court Justice Moreau, Brown and Rowe: 

Prunella Scales (née Illingworth; 22 June 1932 – 27 October 2025)  93, English actress (Fawlty Towers, A Question of Attribution, Great Canal Journeys).

Her surname, “Scales”, jives in “timely” fashion— as in “scales of justice”!!  And then note the “prune” in her first name … hmmm “prune scales of Justice”?! 

So more precisely we have a “Justice/Law Theme in Surnames”  pattern cluster with “Court”, “Bar”, “Scales”, and now “Laws”, all occurring among Wikipedia’s Deaths in 2025 site within the last 2 weeks, … and HEY, it’s not as though the surnames are common!!!! 

So what occurred to me is that there is the surname “Justice”, so venturing to the names wikipedia page and from the list, I then located the two oldest notable persons with the surname who are still alive: 

• Katherine Justice (born 1942), American actress
• William J. Justice (born 1942), American Roman Catholic bishop
