Flash Dreams

This is the second time in the last two weeks that I had a "flash dream" just as I'm in the midst of waking.  Usually my dreams consist of a lengthy story, butt every now and then they come in what I refer to as "flashes".  Sometimes these occur while I'm awake, although deep in meditative thought with my eyes closed.  The flashes are also different from dreams in that they're single "still" images that are sometimes accompanied by a voice, like a snap shot picture that just suddenly appears and then is gone in a flash.   This time however, one of the flashes was more a combination "dream/flash" in that it had moving images and sound.

The second flash came this morning-- a still picture of a world map, a portion of which was singled out ... I think between Mexico and Florida... though not sure since it occurred so fast, and I was trying to read the caption over the area that read "Hurricane 10".  I didn't have the time to confirm where in the world.  I read the caption to mean "category 10 hurricane".  Now that's frightening... a warning!!  Butt I've since realized that it could mean the "10th Hurricane of the season"... we are presently at 8 this season.

The first flash that occurred about 2 weeks ago, was more like a dream/flash combination in that it was only a few seconds, butt with moving images.  I was on high ground watching the sea, butt the actual shore line was hidden by a hill in front of me.  There was no wind and the sun was shining on a tropical green/blue ocean that had no cresting waves, butt there was something different-- there were giant heaving swells accompanyied by a dull roar.  I could see people-- their heads bobbing  on the surface and what sounded to be shouts of joy.  I zoomed closer... from atop the hill expecting to relish in the sight of people having fun, butt my joy soon turned to horror.  The shouts weren't joyful, and that many of the peopl were dead.  I was close enough to see the wave crashing on the shore with tremendous force, smashing countless bodies into the sand.
