Christmas Seals (Pryde 6)

continuing on with the Pride/Pryde series of posts, note this excerpt from my previous post:
  • pry (v.2) "raise by force," 1823, from "instrument for prying, crowbar;"
The "crowbar" stands out.  The reason has to do with yesterday's date with my partner Cath. Since one of her jobs is to price stairways, every now and then I'll go with her, just to get out and spend time together.  The plan was to drop me off at the Trellis Cafe, that's near one of the sites, where I could have a coffee and use my ipad while waiting for her to return for lunch.

The decor in the place is wonderful... artzy, the walls showcasing the art of a local artisan and windows displaying beautiful stained glass collages--an ocean wave taking up an entire window was incredible!!  I was reminded me of my stained glass artist friend, Lynette, and the promise that I would one day take a course from her.  I decided right there, that I'd do my own Ocean Wave in stained glass!!  I let my eyes bask in the art hung on the walls.  The featuring artist has a unique style-- mostly shadowy silhouette's with edges blurred that enables the figures to blend nicely on the old barn board used in place of canvas. Beside each painting was a card with title... some taking on a humorous tone: a rough cut rectangular piece of barn board portraying a cluster of shadowy seals, was titled "Christmas Seals", and another weathered 2x4 board about 4 foot long sporting a row of shadowy crows was called "crow bar".  The crow bar reminds me of my friend Lynette again, given that she and her partner feed a crow named Esther and her many offspring.

The Trellis Cafe web site reveals the artists name:  Christine Ostling.  For the record, the etymology of the surname Ostling is "East person".  The etymology reminding me of my grandson Easton... and Easter Seals-- had Ostling exhibited at the Trellis Cafe around Easter time, the Seals painting would have been titled "Easter Seals"... a bit of inner twin humour.

It's now clear that the inner twin world played a part --  influencing my day out, the Trellis Cafe ...  Ostling's art work... the name "Pryde" that led to "pry" ... and finally to a "Crow bar pattern-cluster.  And so now the question is, where do we go from here?!

The title of the "Christmas Seals" painting is a play on names:  the Christmas Seals organization.   And because it's also an addition to the "Christmas Theme" pattern-cluster,  it also serves as a heads up to investigate the organizations wiki page, butt first, lets deal with the other organization brought to our attention, note from the Easter Seals Canad wiki page:
Founded in 1922 by a group of ten Rotary Clubs
On the Rotary Club wiki page we come to:
  • Rotary Club was formed when attorney Paul P. Harris ... on February 23, 1905.
Formation1905; 111 years ago

The first thing to catch my eye was that it was founded 111 years ago-- an addition to the "Identical Number Sequence" pattern-cluster... keep in mind that as of 9/11, there are 111 days remaining!!! The other thing to catch my eye is the founding date: February 23, given that the birthday of my grandson is February 22nd, hence generating a "February __, 22, 23/ Date Sequence" pattern-cluster... not to mention that when my grandson turns 8, the date will be 2/22/22.   The gap is included in the cluster as per the inner twin world formula-- their propensity for generating clusters in groups of 3.  I chose February 21st because it's the date next in sequence.  We are then expected to investigate the February 21 wiki page also using the formula-- limiting our search to the Deaths section and to those who died during a year ending with 3 identical number sequences ie: 1999 and 2000.  Also February 23 being "one off " from the notable date of February 22 (2/22) communicates that we also need to consider those "one off" from 1999 and 2000, where we then arrive at 5 individuals, with one who stands out:
  • 1996 – Morton Gould (December 10, 1913 – February 21, 1996), composer
  • 1999 – Wilmer Mizell (August 13, 1930 – February 21, 1999), baseball /politician
  • 2002 – John Thaw (3 January 1942 – 21 February 2002), actor/producer
The surname "Elion" stood out given the "lion" within-- and addition to the "Big Cat /Animal Themed" pattern-cluster... and lion also jives with "pride"-- a lions family.  Given the birthdays of my son, life partner, brother and daughter, and then that of Elion, we have a "January 15, __, 19, 21, 23/ Uneven Number Date Sequence" pattern-cluster.  Bringing us to another who stands out:
For the record, note the following info re the Rotary Club founder:
Paul Percy Harris (April 19, 1868 – January 27, 1947)
Also standing out on the Easter Seals wiki page is:
  • In 1945, the first Canadian Easter Seals were introduced in Alberta
  • Alberta Easter Seals. Easter Seals Camp Horizon, located near Bragg Creek,
It's the name "Bragg"... this isn't the first time the name has cropped up in the "Pride/Pryde" series of posts... so a "Bragg" pattern-cluster.  Bragg Creek is not far from where my step son lives in Calgary, and there's a section on the Bragg Creek wiki page that speaks on the 2005 that I also posted about-- the flood resulting from torrential rains that came before the permafrost in the land had "thawed" (on that note the name above re "John Thaw"). Note from the Bragg Creek wiki page:
  •  Bragg Creek was featured in the feature films Storm (1987)
Other films are mentioned butt this one stands out... reminding me of "Storm birds" as per an earlier post in this series.  Of the 8 members of the cast/crew who have wiki pages, 4 stand out:  of the film stand out:
  • William Campbell  (September 5, 1946 – February 9, 2005) editor
First of all note the 3rd actor surname... we now have an "Elion(x2)" pattern-cluster.  C'mon, it's not that popular a name. So I wonder if a 3rd Elion will crop up... or maybe its an Elion prompt?!  Note their birthdays highlighted in bright green-- 4 additions to a cluster that was last added to in my earlier post today, Pride 4, and so expanding it now to a:
"January 5(x3), February 5, March 5, April 5(x2), May 5(x2),  June 5, __, August 5(x3), September 5(x3), October 5(x3), November 5(x2), December 5/ 5th Day Date Sequence" pattern-cluster
Venturing now to the Christmas Seals wiki page, note this excerpt:

And we have another addition to the recent "Christmas Theme" and "Holly" pattern-clusters.  I don't like where this is heading!!  Oh well, leaving no stone unturned, note from the DNSAP wiki page:

LeaderCay Lembcke
1932-1933,
Frits Clausen
1933-1945
Founded16 November 1930
Dissolved8 May 1945 (banned)
  • Cay Lembcke (15 December 1885 – 31 January 1965)
  • Frits Clausen (12 November 1893 – 5 December 1947)
Hmmm, my sisters birthday of December 14, my car crash of December 13... and Lembcke's birthday generates a "December 13, 14, 15/ Date Sequence" pattern-cluster... a bit of a heads up I would say... drawing attention Clausen (note the "Clause"... as in Santa Clause)... his date of death that occurred on December 5 is another addition to the now expanded:
 "January 5(x3), February 5, March 5, April 5(x2), May 5(x2),  June 5, __, August 5(x3), September 5(x3), October 5(x3), November 5(x2), December 5(x2)/ 5th Day Date Sequence" pattern-cluster
I think it might be time to bridge the "July 5" gap.  On the July 5 wiki page:
Edwin Parker "Cy" Twombly, Jr. (April 25, 1928 – July 5, 2011[1]
So note the "two" in his surname... meaningful given my inner twin's name "Tou".  Many years ago, shortly after my car crash of 2000, when I began to see my inner twin and inner twin world at work in my life and surrounding world, my inner twin then introduced our "conjoined" name via a "Toumai" pattern-cluster-- Toumai had cropped up in a series of what appeared to be unrelated events: its an African name that given to desert nomads to babies born during the dry season, it means "Hope for Life".  Toumai stood out as well because I could plainly see that it's a cryptic combination of my name, "May" and the word "two".  And so the reason behind the name of my first blog "Toumai".   Perusing through Twombly's wiki page, I picked out the names that stood out and then investigated their wiki pages for the following info:
The first two are additions to the "Names Ending in 'z'" and the "Leo/ Big Cat Theme" pattern-clusters... and note as well, that when I went to Leo's wiki page, it reveals his birth surname as being Krausz... it too ends in "z"!!  The surname Sylvester stands out, reminding me of Looney Tunes Sylvester the cat.  The surname Braque is close enough to "brag/Bragg".  And we have another "Lamb ert" (see recent post).  The dates stand out as well-- we have an "August 21, __, 23/ Date Sequence" pattern-cluster.  August 31st is Megan MacGregor's birthday... who I refer to often in this blog and in this series of posts.  Sylvestors date of death re June 19th, is the same day as the first post in this blog.   And we also have a "June 19, May 20, April 21/ Day, Month Sequence" pattern-cluster... April 21 is included due to it being that as of this date during a non leap year, it is the 111th day of the year... opposite to 9/11 (equated with "war") the day of the year with 111 remaining... so I consider April 21 as a cryptic reference to "peace".

Note from Sylvester the cat's wiki page:
The character debuted in Friz Freleng's Life With Feathers (1945). Freleng's 1947 cartoon Tweetie Pie was the first pairing of Tweety with Sylvester, and the Bob Clampett-directed Kitty Kornered (1946) was Sylvester's first pairing with Porky Pig
From the wiki pages of the 2 mentioned:
  • Isadore "FrizFreleng (August 21, 1906[2] – May 26, 1995)
  • Robert Emerson "Bob" Clampett (May 8, 1913 – May 2, 1984)
So first of all note Clampett's date of death "2 May"... a cryptic "Toumai"!!  And we now have an
"August 21(x2), __, 23/ Date Sequence" pattern-cluster.  Note this next excerpt from Sylvester the Cat's wiki page:
  • Conventional wisdom is that Daffy's lisp, and hence also Sylvester's, were based on the lisp of producer Leon Schlesinger.
We have another addition to the "Big Cat/Leo Theme" pattern-cluster.  Note from Leon's wiki page:
Leon Schlesinger (May 20, 1884 – December 25, 1949)
And we have Another May 20th... and his date of death is an addition to the "Christmas Theme" pattern cluster... and keep in mind, there is only 2 days left before Christmas... so "timely"!!

Sylvester the Cat first appeared in the film "Life with Feathers", and on visiting the films wiki page one name stood out:
Produced byEdward Selzer
His name is in the Introductory Section at the top of this Blog:
The Producer, Director and Writer of Warner Brothers animated cartoon "My Little Duckaroo" died on February 22nd: Jones in 2002; Selzer In 1970, Maltese in 1981.
Birds of a feather do stick together !!!

  • Edward "Eddie" Selzer (January 12, 1893 – February 22, 1970)

On searching my blog for a post that mentions Lynette and her crows, I came across my March 29 post, Cobra (Part 4): END of WAR, note this excerpt:
She was the first among many Lynette's that Google brought up, butt her surname and then the soap opera title re "bellbird", are what grabbed my attention.  As for the title, it's an addition to the recent "Bird Theme" pattern-cluster, and with "bell" joining in, the sense is "wake up call"... after all, birds are early risers with their calls, most notably that of a rooster, serve as a rudimentary alarm clock.
On the Bellbird's wiki page are a number of actors, so I decided to investigate only the names that stand out...
  • Tom Oliver (born 12 June 1938)
  • Gerda Nicolson (11 November 1937 – 12 June 1992)
  • Penne Hackforth-Jones (5 August 1949 – 17 May 2013)
  • Michael Preston (born Jack Davies; 14 May 1938)
  • Alan Hopgood (born 29 September 1934)
We should perhaps investigate the other actors don't you agree?!

On the Crow bar wiki page is the following excerpt:
William Shakespeare used the term iron crow in many places,[5]including his play Romeo and Juliet, Act 5, Scene 2: "Get me an iron crow and bring it straight unto my cell."
In Daniel Defoe's 1719 novel Robinson Crusoe, the protagonist uses crowbars as pickaxes but refers to these tools as iron crows
Note from the wiki pages of the two persons mentioned:
  • William Shakespeare (26 April 1564 – 23 April 1616)
  • Daniel Defoe (c. 1660 – 24 April 1731)
The dates generate an "April 23, 24, __, 26/ Date Sequence" pattern-cluster.
