The Deaths in 2013 site lists under January 23:
And there's his surname Ego, note the etymology: So "I prosper"?!
Just by reading my previous post title you'll note the "Money" pattern-cluster in the works (clusters that arise as a direct result of notable deaths), and so for the name "Prosper" to crop up on the site at this time, is meaningful-- adds to the cryptic communication. Note the etymology:
- Prosper Ego, 87, Dutch activist, founder of the Oud-Strijders Legioen.
prosper (v.) mid-14c., from Old French prosperer (14c.) and directly from Latin prosperare "cause to succeed, render happy," from prosperus "favorable, fortunate, prosperous," perhaps literally "agreeable to one's wishes," traditionally regarded as from Old Latin pro spere "according to expectation, according to one's hope," from pro "for" + ablative of spes "hope," from PIE root *spe- "to flourish, succeed, thrive, prosper" (see speed (n.)).
ego (n.) 1714, as a term in metaphysics, "the self; that which feels, acts, or thinks," from Latin ego "I" (cognate with Old English ic; see I). Psychoanalytic (Freudian) sense is from 1894; sense of "conceit" is 1891. Ego-trip first recorded 1969, from trip (n.). Related: egoical; egoity.
