Matt Batts RIIP; and Fatt Catts in Fanny's Hatts

On perusing back through Wikipedia's Deaths in 2013 site, I noted the following under July 14th:
Matt Batts, 91, American baseball player (Boston Red SoxDetroit Tigers).
Surely you caught it-- his career involves swinging batts and his surname is Batts!!  His name falls into the "Alliteration/Rhyme/idiom" pattern-cluster category and reminds me of my recent June 14th post entitled "Fanny Burney's Big... Hat".  Now that I think of it, I should have written the title as "Fanny Burney's Fatt Hatt"... after all, when viewed you'll know for a fact that even Matt Batts fatt catt can fitt in Fanny's hatt.  I like to think that Matt Batts had a sense of humour and is getting a good chuckle in the great beyond.

So I consider the recent death of Matts Batts a potential lead that warrants further investigation.  Note the following excerpt from his wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Batts:
On August 25, 1952, Batts, playing for the Tigers, caught the second of pitcher Virgil Trucks' two no-hitters[2] only the third Major League pitcher at that point to do so in a single season.
August 25th is my grand daughters birthday
