So what are the chances of two notable persons, one a "Shaw" and the other a "Shah being listed on Wikipedia's Death in 2013 site under March 9th, note this excerpt:
Note this excerpt from A.R. Shaw's wiki page:
As you can see, they aren't royalty, butt politicians. I mentioned Viren Shah in an earlier post entitled, RIIP: Norman King, Claud King, Viren Shah and Princess Lilian... , so A.R. Shaw was added after otherwise I would have added him to the title given the obvious relationship, note the etymology:
- Viren J. Shah, 86, Indian politician and industrialist, Governor of West Bengal (1999–2004), heart attack.[64]
- A. R. Shaw, 91, American politician, member of the North Dakota House of Representatives.[65]
shah (n.) title of the king of Persia, 1560s, shaw, from Persian shah, shortened from Old Persian xšayathiya "king," from Indo-Iranian *ksayati "he has power over, rules" from PIE *tke- "to gain control of, gain power over" (cf. Sanskrit ksatram "dominion;" Greek krasthai "to acquire, get," kektesthai "to possess").
Note this excerpt from A.R. Shaw's wiki page:
A.R. "Arch" Shaw (February 4, 1922 – March 9, 2013) was an American educator and legislator. Born in Hanks, NorthAudd that Hanks would crop up considering my last post where I mention actor Tom Hanks.
