Last night I settled in to watch a movie. As I perused the list of those available on Prime, one caught my eye: Castles in the Sky. There was definitely something about the title…, prompting me to read on, and to actor “Eddie Izzard” who was front and center!! I just mentioned him in my March 17 post, Bald Goons ˚ ༘ ೀ⋆。˚ ᝰ.ᐟ
On venturing to the films wiki page, I first investigated the Director who is listed first in the sidebar:
Gillies MacKinnon (born 8 January 1948) Director
WHOA!! Gillman was born on Gillies birthday!! Note this excerpt from my previous post:
2022 – Lawrence Storch (January 8, 1923 - July 8, 2022) actor, comedian (*lace)
Note his birthday… January 8th is also the birthday of my stepson, Gillman. His birthday adds to the cluster: “ January 8, …, __, April 8, May 8, June 8, July 8(x2), August 8, September 8, October 8, November 8, December 8/8th Day, Month Sequence” pattern cluster
Note the following info re the list of cast and real characters portrayed in the film:
- Eddie Izzard (7 Feb 1962) as Robert Watson-Watt(13 April 1892 – 5 Dec 1973)
- Laura Fraser (born 24 July 1975) as Margaret Watson-Watt
- Alex Jennings as Henry Tizard (23 August 1885 – 9 October 1959)
- Tim McInnerny (born 18 Sept 1956) as Winston Churchill (30 Nov 1874 – 24 Jan 1965)
- David Hayman (born 9 Feb 1948) as Frederick Lindemann (5 April 1886 – 3 July 1957)
- Julian Rhind-Tutt(20 July 1967) as Albert Percival Rowe (23 Mar 1898 – 25 May 1976) (*peal)
- Karl Davies (born 6 Aug 1982) as Arnold "Skip" Wilkins (20 Feb 1907 – 5 Aug 1985) (*wins)
- Celyn Jones as "Taffy" Bowen (14 January 1911 – 12 August 1991)
- Iain McKee as Higgy
- Joe Bone as Bell
Many stand out from the above, like the name “Tizard” that rhymes with “Izzard”, … butt Rowe stands out the most for many reasons: first that his middle name is an addition to the “First and Last 2 Letters in Name Makes a Word” pattern cluster , and so making “peal” (see etymology below)… a word that is related to “appeal”… which is meaningful given my recent Appeal now before the courts, and also because his birthday is tomorrow, and so an addition to the “Off By One” and the “Timely” pattern clusters, … and finally, his birthday and date of death generates a “March 23, __, May 25/Date Sequence” pattern cluster, … with the blank representing April 24th. From here we venture to the April 24th wiki page, and apply the formula, … to which there is only one in the notable births section:
1888 – Pe Maung Tin (24 April 1888 – 22 March 1973) scholar and educator
So what are the changes of THAT?! TODAY is the anniversary of his death!!
I decided to venture to the notable Deaths section, … and because none had passed away in 1999 or 2000 (which is rare), I decided to apply the “one off” curve ball, and arrived at:
- 1997 – Eugene Stoner (November 22, 1922 – April 24, 1997) designed AR-15 rifle
- 2001 – Josef Peters (September 16, 1914 – April 24, 2001) racing driver
- 2001 – Johnny Valentine (September 22, 1928 – April 24, 2001) wrestler
- 1997 – Allan Francovich (March 23, 1941 – April 17, 1997) director, producer
- 1997 – Pat Paulsen (July 6, 1927 – April 25, 1997) comedian, activist
- 1887 – Denys Finch Hatton (24 April 1887 – 14 May 1931) English hunter
- 1889 – Stafford Cripps (24 April 1889 – 21 April 1952) Chancellor Exchequer
- 1889 – Lyubov Popova (24 April 1889 – 25 May 1924) Russian painter
“March 23, April 24, May 25(x2(/Date Sequence” pattern cluster
peal(n.)
mid-14c., pele, "a ringing of a bell" especially as a call to church service; generally considered a shortened form of appeal (n.)
