All About That Bad Ass Bass (UPDATE)

Yesterday when perusing my facebook feed,  I came across a friends post that jives along in inner twin fashion:

Pam happens to be a professional bassist, and so why the cartoon is significant… and because it coincides with the Toronto Blue Jays last game against the Los Angelas Dodgers, … a painful 5-4 loss for the Blue Jays.  As to how it jives, note the following from my recent November 7th post, SAD HIII and Twin Ass Pass

Ray Drummond (November 23, 1946 – November 1,2025) 78, American jazz bassist and teacher

For one note the ass in bass!!  And, November 23 is my moms birthday.

Note the following excerpt from Drummond’s wiki page:

He can be heard on hundreds of albums and co-leads The Drummonds with Renee Rosnes and (not related) Billy Drummond

What struck me was that he played with Billy Drummond— same last name butt not related… well THAT sure smacks of inner twin influence, note from Billy’s wiki page:

Willis Robert "BillyDrummond Jr. (born June 19, 1959)

His birthday, June 19th, is also the birthday of this blog!!

Note the following from CBC News (Halifax) article where Pam is mentioned Halifax students learn to play big instruments in record numbers Music videos may be fuelling increased demand

More Grade 6 and junior high students participating in the Halifax Regional School Board's after-school strings program are choosing to learn the cello and double bass.

Strings specialist teacher Pam Mason called it "an explosion of interest" after teaching in the program for a dozen years.

Last year her group learned a tune called All About That Bass that was a hit for Meghan Trainor.

"There's lots of people that make videos, like the Two Cello Men," said Grade 6 classmate Owen Boyden. "They're funny."

I loved the video “ All About That Bass ”… and its focus on a positive view of full-figured persons. AND the funny “Two Cello Men”,… was beyond funny— AMAZING!!

UPDATE:

On visiting the Stats to this blog occurring “NOW”, there were over 80, butt one stood out:

The fifth one from the top, my October 18, 2018 post entitled October 18.  The reason is because just before, I had investigated the “Octobass”— the instrument that plays the lowest bass, and while there I investigated the notable persons as they appeared, including the following:

The only known work from the 19th century that specifically calls for the octobass is Charles Gounod's Messe solennelle de Sainte-Cécile.

Note from Gounod’s wiki page:

Charles-François Gounod (17 June 1818 – 18 October 1893

So there you have it— October 18!!

After reading my 2018 post, I decided to repost here:

October 18

Recently added to The Deaths in 2018 site:

Note from his wiki page:
    • Narayan Datt Tiwari (18 October 1925 – 18 October 2018)
Not only did he die on his birthday, butt both dates are additions to a cluster in my previous post:
    • Pierre Barlaguet (18 October 1931 – 16 October2018)
    • George C. Scott (October 18, 1927 – September 22, 1999)
    • Manuel Montalbán (14 June 1939  – 18 October 2003
    • Pierre Trudeau (October 18, 1919 – September 28, 2000)
The four cropped up on following the leads, generating an “October 18(x4)” pattern cluster.

Pierre Laporte (25 February 1921 – 17 October 1970)
I had written about the October Crisis in other posts, note the first two brought up by this blogs search engine: here and here, the first one made on October 20, 2015 and the second on October 20, 2016.  Note the following from the second:
The cluster expands into an  “October 16, 17, 18(x5), __, 20/ Date Sequence” pattern cluster

Tiwari wasn’t the only one who was born and died on October 18, note from my previous post:
    • Manuel da Nóbrega (18 October 1517 – 18 October 1570)

It appears as though someone is one step ahead of me… , hmmm, I wonder if they know?!
