Loretta Swit (nee Szwed; November 4, 1937 – May 30, 2025) actress (M*A*S*H) Emmy win
I remember her well as her M*A*S*H character: Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan . But what really stood out is her surname Swit, that’s an addition to the “Remove a Letter Makes a Word” pattern cluster, and the “Word in Name” pattern cluster and so providing two words— “sit” and “wit”. It’s also an addition to the “Replace a letter Makes Word” pattern cluster, and so making “shit”, “spit”, “skit”, “slit”, “swim”.
The “sit” and “wit” speaks most in that I’m reminded of my earlier post this month: Pointer: Chaisson = Chaise Son= Chair Son!! (Posted May 1, 2025),… and so in essence the inner twin world are conveying a command— “grab a chair and sit!! ”.
I investigated the birth/death info of notable persons mentioned on her wiki page to see if there’s anyone who stands out, and came to:
Sharon Gless (born May 31, 1943)
Today is her birthday, and so an addition to the “Timely” pattern cluster. As well her surname is another addition to the “Remove a Letter Makes a Word” pattern cluster, the “Replace a letter Makes Word” pattern cluster, and the “Word in Name” pattern cluster, and so providing us with two words, and the cryptic phrase “guess less”.
On perusing Swit’s list of films, one stood out:
Not just the title, butt the characters surname “Reed”, due to the following excerpt from my previous post:On perusing the list of recent notable deaths, the surname “Reid” stands out in more ways than one:
Sir Robert “Bob” Reid (1 May 1934 – 30 May 2025) 91, chairman British Railways Board.Remove the “e” from Reid makes “rid”!! Oh… yes, Jennifer Reid is the name of the lawyer I’ve had to do battle against at the 2024 and 2025 trial. And his birthday communicates a cryptic “May won”!!
The list of cast in the film S.O.B. Is pretty long, so I limited my search to the surnames who fall into one of the pattern cluster categories above. These four stood out in particular:
- William Holden (né Beedle Jr.; April 17, 1918 – November 12, 1981) as Tim Culley
- Charles Lampkin (March 17, 1913 – April 17, 1989) as Felix
- Lawrence Storch (January 8, 1923 – July 8, 2022) as Professor Krishna Mansa Kesari
- Craig Stevens (born Gail Shikles Jr.; July 8, 1918[1] – May 10, 2000) as Willard Pratt
"Holding the torch of justice" is a metaphorical phrase that means to uphold and strive for fairness, righteousness, and legal principles. It symbolizes a commitment to justice, often used in contexts like legal advocacy, human rights, or social activism
And also:
- Hold the Torch Meaning: If you hold the torch for someone, you have an unrequited or unspoken love.
- The phrase "hold a lamp" can also have a more literal meaning, such as to hold a lamp to provide light in a dark space Figuratively, it's often used in the phrase "can't hold a candle to". This means something is not as good as something else; it can't compare or measure up.
I’m reminded of the Statue of Liberty who holds a torch, and on investigating her wiki page, I came across the above image and depiction that shows her rear and the significance at her slightly raised right foot amidst a broken shackle and chain. I’m reminded of the “Ass in Name” pattern cluster a cluster where added to this cluster is the Judge overseeing our legal case, Justice Chiasson (a cryptic “she ass on”).
