 Perusing back through recent additions to Wikipedia’s Deaths in 2024 list, this person stands out:

• Sir Peter Hordern, 95, British politician, MP (1964–1997).
• Sir Peter Maudslay Hordern, DL, PC (18 April 1929 – 18 April 2024)

He died on his birthday for one, and his surname is an addition to the recent and prolific “Remove a letter from a Name Makes a Word” pattern cluster, and so making “horder”.  Note from his wiki page:
