Continuing on from my previous post, note this excerpt:
Pinto Colvig (Vance DeBar Colvig Sr. September 11, 1892 – October 3, 1967)
Note from Colvig’s wiki page:
He also voiced Bluto for the studio's Popeye the Sailor cartoons, replacing Gus Wickie
What stands out is the name “Gus Wikie”... , his name is an addition to the “Remove a Letter Makes a Word” pattern cluster, and so making “us” and “wiki” ... the “wiki” is meaningful given that whenever I investigate a name, I generally use Wikipedia, so as a quick search method, I would key in the name along with a shortened “wiki” ... so in the case of “Gus” I would key in “Gus wiki”.
Note from Gus Wikie’s wiki page:
August Wicke (May 7, 1885 – January 3, 1947), also "Gus Wickie"
His date of birth stands out given the following from my previous post:
- Robert Everett Coyle (May 6, 1930 – May 7, 2012)
- John Stuart Mill (May 20, 1806 – May 7, 1873)

- Gus Hall (1910–2000), longtime leader of the Communist Party USA,
- Gus Johnson (jazz musician) (1913–2000), American jazz drummer
- August Joseph "Gus" Williams, Jr. (May 7, 1888 – April 16, 1964), known also as "Gloomy" Gus Williams, was a German Americanprofessional baseball player
- Gus Hall (born Arvo Kustaa Halberg; October 8, 1910 – October 13, 2000)
- Gus Johnson (November 15, 1913 – February 6, 2000)

- David Russell "Gus" Bell Jr. (November 15, 1928 – May 7,1995) outfielder in Major League Baseball
- Sir Frank Whittle (1 June 1907 – 9 August 1996)
What stands out is the surname “Whittle”, given that it cropped up in my recent January 6 post, Twin Whittle’s Out 13’s:
- 2013 – Tommy Whittle (13 October 1926 – 13 October 2013) saxophonist
- 1415 – Thomas FitzAlan (13 October 1381 – 13 October 1415) Lord High Treasurer
