The Deaths in 2020 site lists under August 3:
His surname is an addition to a cluster found in my previous post: “Remove a Letter “e”, Makes a Word/phrase ” pattern cluster, in this case, remove the “e” makes “hum”. Note the etymology:
hum (v.)late 14c., hommen "make a murmuring sound to cover embarrassment," later hummen "to buzz, drone"... Sense of "sing with closed lips" is first attested late 15c.; that of "be busy and active" is 1884, perhaps on analogy of a beehive.
It’s strategic that “bee” factors in, ... and that by removing an “e” from bee makes “be”:
be (v.)... from PIE root *bheue- "to be, exist, grow,"
be- : "about, around; thoroughly, completely; to make, cause, seem; to provide with; at, on, to, for;" from Old English be-"about, around, on all sides" (form of bi "by;" see by (prep.))
As well, Hume’s first name is an addition to the prolific and recent “John...” pattern cluster.
John Hume (18 January 1937 – 3 August 2020)
His birthday is an addition to the “Off by One” pattern cluster... as in one off from my brother John’s birthday of January 19. Note the following regarding notable persons mentioned on Hume’s wiki page:
- Gerard Fitt, Baron Fitt (9 April 1926 – 26 August 2005)
- Bairbre de Brún (born 10 January 1954)
- Martin Luther King Jr. (Michael; January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968)
- Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (2 October 1869 – 30 January 1948)
- William David Trimble, Baron Trimble (born 15 October 1944)
- Pope Benedict XVI (born 16 April 1927)
- Tomás Séamus Ó Fiaich (3 November 1923 – 8 May 1990)
- Hugh Anthony Logue (born 23 January 1949)
- Gerard Adams (born 6 October 1948)
- Seamus Frederick Mallon (17 August 1936 – 24 January 2020)
- Ian Paisley, Baron Bannside (6 April 1926 – 12 September 2014)
- Mark Durkan (born 26 June 1960)
- Eddie McAteer (1914 – 28 March 1986)
Two of the dates have personal significance— January 15 being the birthday of both my son and life partner (born 22 years apart), and January 23 is the birthday of my second grandson. This is a twin heads upp— the cluster surrounding “January” is to our main focus: “January15, ..., __, 23, 24/Date Sequence”
pattern cluster, and prompt to bridge the January 22 gap. Using the formula as per usual, and taking into consideration the “one off” cluster, we arrive at:
- 2001 – Tommie Agee, American baseball player (b. 1942)
- 2001 – Roy Brown, American clown and puppeteer (b. 1932)
So what are the chances?! Remove the “e” from Agee makes “age”.... hmmm, and an an “r” makes “agree”!! Keep in mind that the name Thomas means “twin “ in origin. There is another Thomas in the above list... who was born on May 8 (a cryptic “May ate” and “Mate”)... keep in mind that my first name is “May”... and my surname is “Ocean”!! As well, in the above list, the name “Seamus” crops up twice. Note the etymology of the name:
Séamus (Irish pronunciation: [ˈʃeːmˠəsˠ]) is an Irish male given name, of Latin origin. It is the Irish equivalent of the name James. Whoa!! Remove the “e” from James makes “jams”!!
Note the following info from Agee’s and Brown’s wiki page:
Tommie Lee Agee (August 9, 1942 – January 22, 2001)
Roy Thomas Brown (8 July 1932 – 22 January 2001)
Agee’s birthday is an addition to the “Off by One” pattern cluster... as in one off from the 222nd day of the year. This is a prompt for us to “stretch”... and so I perused the January 22nd death list a bit more and found:
- 2004 – Tom Mead, Australian journalist and politician (b. 1918)
Hmmm, another Tom... and do note: remove the “e” from his surname makes “MAD”!!! Note from his wiki page:
Thomas Francis Mead (4 May 1918 – 22 January 2004)
Hmmm, 4 May contains a cryptic “for May”. Keep ind that the number 4 on my key board shares the same key as the $ dollar sign... so “$ for May”?!
Another Tom in the births section stands out:
Thomas Fisher Railsback (January 22, 1932 – January 20, 2020)
I posted about him not long ago.
