Venturing back to the List of famous dogs wiki page, I finally get to the section on “War Dogs”. One in particular stood out:
The first being that he was an explosive detection dog... and so jiving with “shell” re my last three posts.
- Sarbi, an Australian special forces explosives detection dog that spent almost 14 months missing in action (MIA) in Afghanistan before being recovered in 2009
His birthday speaks cryptic volumes!! I also found in the list:
- Sarbi (11 September 2002 – 27 March 2015)
This must be about the third time that the name Patton... and the second time the General himself has cropped up, note from his wiki page:
- Willy, George S. Patton's bull terrier
TOMORROW is Patton’s birthday!! It’s interesting too, that Remembrance Day is 11/11. And an addition to a cluster found in my previous post:

A few other famous dogs that stood out:
- Orca, a Golden retriever assistance dog awarded a PDSA Gold Medal for saving his owner's life.

- Endal, a yellow Labrador retriever Service dog voted "Dog of the Millennium", famous for extraordinary ability to help his human partner, a disabled veteran, with many aspects of his life, for over a decade, and his role in the promotion of service dog programs.
- Endal (13 December 1995 – 13 March 2009)
- Roselle, a Golden Retriever guide dog who led her blind owner Michael Hingson to safety from the 78th floor of the North Tower of the World Trade Center after the 9/11 attack.[103]
- Salty, a Labrador Retriever guide dog who led his blind owner Omar Rivera from 71st floor of Tower 1 of the World Trade Center on 9/11.

- Zanjeer was a Labrador Retriever who served as a detection dog with the Mumbai Police in Maharashtra state of India. Due to his impeccable service detecting many explosives and other weapons—in particular during the 1993 Mumbai bombings—he was honoured with a full state funeral.
Compare the dates re Endal, Salty and Roselle. AND, anyone following this blog, knows the significance of December 13 to me and the inner twin world.
