Cokey Clokey and Gumbi Poki

Gumby, Pokey, Toys, Childhood, Retro, Vintage

Given my previous posts focus on October 25, I returned to The Deaths in 2019 site to see if anyone else listed under October 25th stands out:
He stood out to me because yesterday while visiting with my grandchildren, we watched the new Lion King movie.  The Lion King also stood out because a few years back my partner and I saw a live performance of the Lion King in New York City... it was a big splurge for us.   The other thing that stood out was his surname Gumbi— reminding me of Gumby.  As a kid, I loved my Gumby and Pokey figures, the little rubber characters were small enough to carry anywhere, and fit with my love of horses.

Note from Gumby’s wiki page:
Gumby is an American clay animation franchise, centered on the titular green clay humanoid character created and modeled by Art Clokey
First of all note from Art Clokey’s wiki page:
 Arthur "Art" Clokey (October 12, 1921 – January 8, 2010)
He died on the birthday of my stepson, Gillman Payette, and so an addition to the “Targeting Family Birthdays” pattern cluster. , as well as generating a  “January 8(x2), ..., August 8/ 8th Day, Month Sequence” pattern cluster (I included August 8th since this is the birthday of my ex husband).

Names often play a key role in the inner twin world’s cryptic communication, and this one is no exception to the “artsy” rule.  The surname Clokey was strategically designed by the inner twin world to break down into a cryptic combination of “cloak key” and “coke key”.  In fact, cloak was spelled “cloke” in earlier times, butt what interests me the most is that cloak is often used figuratively to describe something “hidden”.   The word “coke” has been designed to factor in, which means that we can expect to find something “hidden” when we investigate Coke, the soft drink made by The Coca-Cola Company that was also popular when I was a kid.  In the information sidebar on The Coca-Cola Company wiki page are three names, each of which have links that we can open:
FoundersJohn Pemberton
Asa Candler
Key people
James Quincey
Note from each of their wiki pages:
  • John Stith Pemberton (July 8, 1831 – August 16, 1888)
  • Asa Griggs Candler (December 30, 1851 – March 12, 1929)
  • James Robert B. Quincey (8 January 1965)
I highlighted the two dates that stand out, with Quincey being the more obvious— another addition to the the “Targeting Family Birthdays” pattern cluster ; and an addition to the now  “January 8(x3), ..., July 8, August 8/ 8th Day, Month Sequence” pattern cluster... with a complete cluster of 3 within the larger cluster.

In the Cast section of the Gumby Wiki page, one of the actor, Ginny Tyler (voiced Gumba, Granny,  Witty Witch) stands out given the following info from her wiki page:
Merrie Virginia Eggers (née Erlandson; August 8, 1925 – July 13, 2012), known as Ginny Tyler.
And so another addition to the the “Targeting Family Birthdays” pattern cluster ; and an addition to the now  “January 8(x3), ..., July 8, August 8(x2)/ 8th Day, Month Sequence” pattern cluster.

Two other notable persons mentioned on the Gumby wiki page stands out:
  • Pincus Leff (May 2, 1907 – April 3, 1993), better known as  Pinky Lee
  • Edward Regan Murphy (born April 3, 1961
An “April 3(x2)” pattern cluster.  there’s also Leff’s  “2 May” birthday that contains a cryptic “Toumai”— the name of my first blog that contains a cryptic combination of my name “May” and my inner twin’s name “Tou”; Toumai is also an African word, meaning “Hope for Life”.  A definite twin heads upp!!  there are other clusters generated by other notable persons mentioned on the Gumby wiki page that I’ve posted at the bottom of this page for you to figure out. The two April 3rd’s  can be seen as a prompt to venture to the April 3 wiki page , butt I feel more compelled to continue with my original line of investigation that includes venturing to The Lion King wiki page, and to the section entitled Original Cast, the list of which provides us with:
RafikiTsidii Le Loka
Note from Loka’s Wiki page:
Tsidii Le Loka (born April 3, 1968)
Her birthday enables the perfect hand of 3 or more:  “April 3(x3 )” pattern cluster

Let’s do some other comparisons between the Gumby wiki page and the Lion King wiki page:

Other cast from The Lion King wiki page:

  • Robert Albert Nicholson  (April 29, 1918–September 23, 1993)
  • John Russell Dilworth (born February 14, 1963)

The July clusters found in both posts, and the July 9th found in my previous post, join to make a “July 8, 9, ..., 13, 14, ... , 19, 20, 21, __, 23/ Date Sequence” pattern cluster.  I included July 23rd because this is the day my mother passed away!!

And note the above surname,  Raize, that’s a cryptic combination of “raise” and “raze”, note the etymology:
  • raise (v.)c. 1200, "cause a rising of; lift upright, set upright; build, construct,"
  • raze (v.)1540s, alteration of racen "pull or knock down" (a building or town)
And then the surnames , Headley and Wright that gives us a cryptic “raize headly right/write”!?
I decided to venture to the Deaths in 2019 site to see if there are any other “July birthdays” in recent additions:
  • Paul Barrere (July 3, 1948 – October 26, 2019)
  • Queta Basilio (15 July 1948 – 26 October 2019)
  • Mārtiņš Ķibilds (July 23, 1974 – October 26, 2019)
  • Abū Bakr al-Baghdadi (28 July 1971 – 26 October 2019))
  • Leroy Reginald Johnson (July 28, 1928 – October 24, 2019)
  • Carlo Strenger (July 16, 1958 - October 25, 2019)
And so the cluster expands:
“July 3, ..., 8, 9, ..., 13, 14, 15, 16, ... , 19, 20, 21, __, 23(x2), ..., 28(x2) / Date Sequence” pattern cluster.

As a further, I was able to locate Andile Gumbi’s birth info:
    • Andile Gumbi (September 10, 1983 — October 25, 2019)
An addition to the “Off By One” pattern cluster... as in one off from 9/11!!!
