Alessandro Mendini, 87, Italian architect and designer

• Alessandro Mendini (16 August 1931 — 18 February 2019)

An “August 16, __, 18/Date Sequence” pattern cluster.   Gapped clusters such as this are strategically designed as a prompt to bridge the gap using the formula, which brings us to:

2000 – Jack Walker, English businessman (b. 1929)

• Jack Walker (19 May 1929 – 17 August 2000) 

His surname is an addition to the recent and prolific “Remove a Letter Makes a Word” pattern cluster, as in remove the “l” makes “waker” ... with “Jack” being a cryptic “up”, hence “up waker”!!  I didn’t have a reason to apply the “one off” curve ball, however givne the name Jack Walker aka “up walker”, I decided to move “up” to the next one in the list:

Tadeusz Ślusarski (19 May 1950  – 17 August 1998 

• 1998 – Tadeusz Ślusarski, Polish pole vaulter (b. 1950)

Walker and Slusarski were born and died on the same day!!  A “May 19(x2)” pattern-cluster .... a strategic design influence of the inner twin world, and another prompt to investigate the May 19 wiki page using the formula again, and so arriving at: 

1999 – Candy Candido, American actor (b. 1913)

• Candy Candido (December 25, 1913 – May 19, 1999)

Interesting names.  And he was born on Christmas Day ... which also happens to be the birthday of our Prime Minister here in Canada... as well as the birthday of his younger brother.  I did check the one immediately above Candy as well:

1998 – Sōsuke Uno, 75th Prime Minister of Japan (b. 1922)

• Sōsuke Uno (27 August 1922 – 19 May 1998)  

The surnames Candido and Uno are also additions to the “Remove a Letter Makes a Word” pattern cluster, hence making “candid no”... aka “no frank truth”.
