Re “Bern” etymology:
Today being November 19th. On perusing the names listed among cast/characters two stand out:
- William Goldman (August 12, 1931 – November 16, 2018)screenplay
- Alan Jay Pakula (April 7, 1928 – November 19, 1998) director
The surname Bernstein breaks down into a cryptic “burn stone”, a common Jewish surname that in German means “amber”... which essentially is a “burned stone”, and more precisely, “fossilized tree resin”. And then the surname Balsam is related to amber in that balsam is a resin/sap from balsam trees. Note the following info regarding the two notable persons:
Their birthdays generate a “February 13, 14(x2), __, ... , 22/Date Sequence” pattern-cluster. I included an extra February 14 and 22nd given the significance of the two dates— Valentines Day, and the birthday of my grandson, who when he turns 8 the date will be 2/22/22... sequences of 2’s are a particular inner twin trade mark signature. I then decided to investigate the Deaths in 2018 site to see if perhaps the inner twin world has added to the cluster. Note the following info regarding the first person presently in the list that has a wiki page who passed away on November 18:
- Carl Bernstein (born February 14, 1944) novel writer
- Martin Henry Balsam (November 4, 1919 – February 13, 1996)
Another addition to the “Timely” pattern-cluster... and bridging the gap:
- Héctor Beltrán Leyva, 56, Mexican drug cartel leader (Beltrán-Leyva Cartel), heart attack
- Héctor Beltrán Leyva (February 15, 1965 – November 18, 2018)
Perusing the list of notable Deaths on the Deaths in 2018 site, tracing back to November 15th, I discover a 15th day cluster ... and another:
- a “February 13, 14(x2), 15, ... , 22/Date Sequence” pattern-cluster.
Motohiko Kondo (15 February 1954 – 17 Nov 2018) 64, Japanese politicianAnd so the cluster expands:
- “February 13, 14(x2), 15(x2), ... , 22/Date Sequence” pattern-cluster.
2002 – Waylon Jennings (June 15, 1937 – February 13, 2002) singer-songwriter, guitaristAnd yet another 15th Day... with June 15th being one off from President Trump’s birthday... and his birthday one off from my June 13 birthday. I decided to revisit the first part of this series that I posted on November 16 (Here), to see if there are any forewarning of this cluster. Note the following excerpt:
- Sir Sacheverell Reresby Sitwell, 6th Baronet ( 15 November 1897 – 1 October 1988)
- Curtis E. LeMay (November 15, 1906 – October 1, 1990)
... “November 15(x2), __, January 15(x2)/ 15th Day, Month Sequence” pattern-cluster (both my son and life partner are born on January 15th ... exactly 22 years apart).WOW... I have a good memory butt it’s short!! This was a definite “twin” heads up. Note the following info regarding other notable persons also born on the 15th who passed away since November 15th and are listed on the Deaths in 2018 site :
And so altogether we now have a
- Adolf Grünbaum (May 15, 1923 – November 15, 2018)
- Roy Linwood Clark (April 15, 1933 – November 15, 2018)
- Pablo Ferro (January 15, 1935 – November 16, 2018)
- Jim Iley (born 15 December 1935 - 17 November 2018)
- Richard Douglas James Baker (15 June 1925 – 17 November 2018)
On the films wiki page there is only one other notable persons born on the 15th :
- . “November 15(x2), December 15 , January 15(x3), February 15(x2), __, April 15, May 15, June 15(x2), __, __, __, __/ 15th Day, Month Sequence” pattern-cluster
John Newton Mitchell (September 15, 1913 – November 9, 1988) was the 67th Attorney General of the United States (1969–1972)And so
Two gaps are open game — March 15 and October 15.
- “November 15(x2), December 15 , January 15(x3), February 15(x2), __, April 15, May 15, June 15(x2), __, __, September 15, __/ 15th Day, Month Sequence” pattern-cluster

Re “Bern” etymology:
Balsam Tree is the common name given to several genera or species of trees that are the source of resinous products, often known as balsam or balm.
- brimstone (n.)"sulfur in a solidified state," Old English brynstan, from brin- stem of brinnen "to burn" (from Proto-Germanic *brennan "to burn," from PIE root *gwher- "to heat, warm") + stan (see stone (n.)). In Middle English the first element also recorded as brem-, brom-, brum-, bren-, brin-, bron-, brun-, bern-, born-, burn-, burned-, and burnt-.
- Bern Swiss capital, probably originally from PIE *ber- "marshy place," but by folk etymology from German Bär "bear" (compare Berlin).
- fossil resins (amber, asphaltite, Utah resin).
- Canada balsam: is a turpentine made from the resin of the balsam fir tree (Abies balsamea) of boreal North America.
