Little Boy Bomb

Last night I watched USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage, starring Nicolas Cage.  Two things immediately stood out about the film, indicating that I should watch it: first there was the surname of the films main star "Cage", given that it's an addition to the recent "Enclosure Theme" pattern-cluster that began with my October 3 post, Paddock, Stahl, and When Frogs Come Out. The other thing that stood out was the mention of "Sharks" in the Netflix film intro, and knowing that it's an addition to the prolific "Shark Theme" pattern-cluster.  As well, at the end of the film when they were giving a time line of events occurring after and related to the the sinking, the date of October 25 had come up... and given my recent posts that involve this date, I consider it another "timely" prompt.

On perusing the list of cast and real life characters one stands out:
So another addition to the "Timely" pattern-cluster... indicating that we're on the 'wright' track.
Note from the films wiki page:
In 1945, the Portland-class heavy cruiser USS Indianapolis, commanded by Captain Charles McVay (Nicolas Cage), delivers parts of the atomic bomb
And now note from the USS Indianapolis wiki page in regards to the name given to the bomb:
The name "Little Boy" is an addition to the recent "Little/Young/Child Theme" pattern-cluster.  Note the following info on those mentioned on the USS Indianapolis wiki page:
  • In 1996, sixth-grade student Hunter Scott began his research on the sinking of Indianapolis, which led to a United States Congressional investigation
We have another addition to the "Little/Young/Child Theme" pattern-cluster.  Note from Hunter Scott's wiki page:
  • Hunter Alan Scott (born June 9, 1985)
  • As a 12-year old living in Pensacola, Florida, Hunter Scott created a National History Day project on the sinking of the USS Indianapolis, becoming interested in the subject after seeing it discussed in the film Jaws
And so the film Jaws becomes our next lead.  Butt first, note the following info regarding the notable persons mentioned on the USS Indianapolis wiki page:
  • Paul Gardner Allen (born January 21, 1953)
  • Claude Augustus Swanson (March 31, 1862 – July 7, 1939)
  • Marc Andrew "Pete" Mitscher (January 26, 1887 – February 3, 1947)
  • Raymond Ames Spruance (July 3, 1886 – December 13, 1969)
  • The Doolittle Raid, also known as the Tokyo Raid, on April 18, 1942
  • James Harold Doolittle (December 14, 1896 – September 27, 1993)
  • Jesse Barrett "Oley" Oldendorf (16 February 1887 – 27 April 1974)
  • Chester William Nimitz, Sr. ( February 24, 1885 – February 20, 1966)
  • William Jefferson Clinton ( August 19, 1946)
  • A combined US fleet fought the Japanese on 19 June, in the Battle of the Philippine Sea.
  •  On 7 August, Indianapolis and the task force attacked Kiska Island
Note the following info on the other cast and crew of the film :

Many of the dates stand out ie: June 13 is my birthday; August 9 and January 9 are both one off from the birthdays of my ex husband and step son both of whom are born on the 8th of August and January respectively.  And we have a "January 7, 8, 9/ Date Sequence" pattern-cluster.
