Heads Up Coin Toss

After waking suddenly around 2am and not able to get back to sleep, I figure something must be up.  So I check the Deaths in 2017 site, where I find Tommy Allsup had been recently added.  Singer, musician Tommy Alsup died yesterday, living another "44"years after the fateful coin toss with Ritchie Valens for a seat on the plane that crashed on February 3, 1959.  In 1979, he started a club, "Tommy's Heads Up Saloon", named for Allsup's coin toss with Valens.

That "coin" crops up now, is meaningful.  Note for instance the "twin" 44 re the number of years since the infamous coin toss, and the fact that the number 4 on my computer keyboard shares the same key as the $ dollar sign.  And meaningful as well due to the recent "Coin Theme " pattern cluster.  Note for example the following post excerpts:

From yesterday's post, Finn :
After watching two movies : 1) How to Make an American Quilt and 2) Coin Heist, one after the other, I discovered a connection.  I watched the second film because the "coin" in the title is an addition to the recent "Coin" pattern cluster.
From my January 2, 2017post, Brown Blob:
So do note the three character surnames re "Penny"...  a coin that happens to be brown... and is an addition to the recent "Penny/Coin Theme" pattern-cluster.
 From my January 6, 2017 post, Hal...p :

     Kingsley Lake sinkhole in  Florida
So my thoughts go to Trish now because of the fact that she lives in Wellington Florida, and because I remember reading about a pretty scary phenomena about Florida "sinkholes".  And the photo at right is just one of the many sinkholes in Florida.  I chose this one because it nearly perfectly round-- like a coin.  How could that happen?!
From my December 30, 2016 post, Nikol Nikol Cupronickle OA;
And do note how  Nikol sounds like "nickel" -- it's a metal, butt it's also the name of our 5 cent coin... and this in turn reminds me of the MacGregor's recent post on the death of their neighbors orange tabby/tiger cat, Copper, And then my post in response where I mention our orange tabby/tiger cat Penny (now diseased) .  And so, a "Money Theme" pattern cluster emerges from the Christmas wood work!!
