Finn

PART 1

After watching two movies : 1) How to Make an American Quilt and 2) Coin Heist, one after the other, I discovered a connection.  I watched the second film because the "coin" in the title is an addition to the recent "Coin" pattern cluster.  The first I watched because of the incredible cast of women.  The connection: the film's generate a "Fin Theme" pattern cluster:  first by Winona Ryder who plays the part of Finn Dodd in the first film, and then in the second film the coin heist involves breaking into the Mint to alter the design of a coin by adding a second "fin" (--a "twin Finn" no less), to a fish on the back of a coin.

It struck me just now, of a pair of goldfish I once had as a child named Fanny because of the twin fin-- two beautiful tails that fanned out!! The fin added to the coin was a dorsal fin.  I'm also reminded of the recent "Fish Theme" and this excerpt from the Deaths in 2017 site listed under January 6:
Tilikum, 35, American-held orca, subject of Blackfish
An interesting fact I read about "dorsal fin collapse" of Killer whales in captivity:
  • Most captive male killer whales, and some females, have a dorsal fin that is partially or completely collapsed to one side
