The Deaths in 2016 site lists under December 26:

• Ricky Harris, 54, American actor (Heat, Dope, Everybody Hates Chris), heart attack

• Ricky Harris (January 1, 1962 – December 26, 2016) 

The title of his film, Heat, is an addition to the recent "Hot Theme" pattern-cluster.   Note from the films wiki page:

The name Alcatraz is an addition to the "Names ending in 'z'" Pattern Cluster.  Note from Alcatraz's wiki page:

Pelican's cropping up is meaningful: an addition to the "Bird Theme" pattern cluster.  Also, Pelicans live in "hot" climate areas... like Florida where things are really heating up ... especially in Wellington!! Note from Ayala's wiki page:
