cont. Note the following etymology:
- hick (n.) a popular pet form of the masc. proper name Richard
- hick (n.) A hick town is one where there is no place to go where you shouldn't be. [attributed to U.S. humorist Robert Quillen (1887-1948)]
- hickory (n.)" Old Hickory as the nickname of U.S. politician Andrew Jackson
- Hicksite ...from the name of their spiritual leader, Elias Hicks. About the only way I can tell whether a particular Meeting was Orthodox or Hicksite has to do with clocks and pianos. If these -- particularly a clock -- are present, that Meeting was Hicksite. If not, it was Orthodox. [Francis G. Brown, "Downingtown Friends Meeting," 1999]
Note the following info regarding the notable persons mentioned in the above etymology:There are a few clusters, butt my gut instinct goes with the "March__, 15, 25/ Increments of 10, date Sequence" pattern-cluster as being the ONE. So to bridge the gap we follow the usual investigative format, and arrive at:
- Verni Robert Quillen (March 25, 1887 - December 9, 1948)
- Andrew Jackson (March 15, 1767 – June 8, 1845)
- Elias Hicks - (March 19, 1748 – February 27, 1830)
- George Francis Graham Brown (7 January 1891 – 23 November 1942)
- 1999 – Richard Kiley, American actor and singer (b. 1922)
His name after all is Richard... which brings us to the first Hick etymology definition above. On his wiki page and listed in the Filmography section is the following:
- Richard Paul Kiley (March 31, 1922 – March 5, 1999)
Note this excerpt from the films wiki page in the opening line :

Note from their wiki pages:
