The Pay-Rent Trap

I just watched a recent film added to Netflix:
The first that occurred to me is that the character  played by  Dennis Quaid is:
Nicholas "Nick" Parker, Annie and Hallie's father.
An addition to the "Parker/Richard Parker" pattern-cluster.

Other cast/crew who stand out:
  • Lindsay Dee Lohan[4] (born July 2, 1986)
  • Polly Dean Holliday (born July 2, 1937)
  • Ronald Stevens (2 September 1925 – 11 November 2006)
  • Erin Ashley Mackey (born June 19, 1986)
  • Charles Richard Shyer (born October 11, 1951)
  • David "Dave" Swift (July 27, 1919 – December 31, 2001)
  • Emil Erich Kästner ( 23 February 1899 – 29 July 1974)
Release dates
  • July 29, 1998
(United States)
  • December 11, 1998
(United Kingdom)
On the August 2 wiki page:
  • José Sanchis Grau (19 June 1932 – 2 August 2011)
On the July 28 wiki page:
  • Trygve Magnus Haavelmo (13 December 1911 – 28 July 1999)
On the December 11 wiki page:
  •  David Lewis (October 19, 1916 – December 11, 2000)
On investigating the first film version I discovered Leo Carrol among the cast... he cropped up in my previous post.  Note the following re cast/crew of The Parent Trap (1961 film):
  • Richard Morton Sherman (born June 12, 1928)
  • Robert Bernard Sherman (December 19, 1925 – March 6, 2012
  • Paul J. Smith (October 30, 1906 – January 25, 1985)
  • Lucien Ballard (6 May 1908 – 1 October 1988)
  • Maureen O'Hara (née FitzSimons; 17 August 1920 – 24 October 2015)as Maggie McKendrick
  • Leo G. Carroll (25 October 1886 – 16 October 1972)  as Reverend Dr. Mosby
  • Linda Matthew Watkins  (born May 23, 1908 – died October 31, 1976) as Edna Robinson
  • David "Dave" Swift (July 27, 1919 – December 31, 2001)
  • Emil Erich Kästner (23 February 1899 – 29 July 1974)

The October 29th wiki page:
  • Sir James Wilson Vincent Savile (31 October 1926 – 29 October 2011)
His birthday and date of death generates a cluster as well.
The October 31 wiki page:
Ringgold Wilmer "Ring" Lardner Jr. (August 19, 1915 – October 31, 2000)
The golden ring of fire.  And Lardner is a cryptic "Oiler" (see previous posts)
