The Deaths in 2015 site list under August 22:
On Reagle's wiki page is a the mention of a notable person who adds to the cryptic communication, not just because of the cryptic phrase in his name, butt his date of birth:
Of course Shortz jives with "Getz" Petz". I'm reminded now of a radio program mentioned to me just the other day-- a man's pet monkey (who he calls his "daughter", having raised her from birth) that dresses itself every day... so presumably wears skirts or "shortz".
I googled the "Reagle Beagle" to see if the name is in use... and lo and behold there's a pub in Calgary (where my step son Gill lives) with the name, and even has a facebook page:
Now all laughs aside, this is a poor taste joke given that it also connects with a "timely" death!! As a journalist (singled out and not by choice), I have no choice butt to put out there as it forms a part of the overall cryptic communication... and so also a part of our new (albeit somewhat still hidden) history/herstory. Since Merl Beagle was a Puzzle maker, it seems fitting to end this post with a cryptic puzzling question: will Megan be able to find catz, eaglez or seagullz swallowed by reagle beaglez?!
Merl Reagle (January 5, 1950 – August 22, 2015)Okay, January 5th is also my dog Bailey's birthday... significant given the recent "Dog" pattern-cluster (compliments of the MacGregor's) of my recent posts:
So keeping with the posts "alliteration" and "Dog" theme, what immediately comes to mind is the "Reagle Beagle".

Will Shortz (born August 26, 1952 )

So note the "Leo" in Macleod!! Truly in keeping with the inner twin/ MacGregor's "Leo" style, and in more ways than one-- we have a cryptic/hidden "cat in a beagle".
