As a followup to my previous post, I noted the following on author Marie Corelli's wiki page:
This is very telling... in the cryptic sense that is. The pattern-clusters that I've revealed so far had been purposely planted and initiated-- they are the result of the uncanny ability of the subconscious mind and the collective unconscious that work together without our being aware, an occurrence that we are already pretty much aware of except that we weren't aware of the entire truth-- that the subconscious is not "ours", butt the result of our inner/conjoined twins who are independent from us and hence they are able to influence our outer thoughts and actions without our being aware ... at least not until after the fact and as they now reveal themselves via pattern-clusters they generate.
- A Romance of Two Worlds (1886)
On the novel, A Romance of Two Worlds, wiki page and under the section entitled "Themes", is the following:
In A Romance of Two Worlds, Marie Corelli takes on an old argument between the creationists and the evolutionists. However, her insights are futuristic, including ideas about electricity, solar power, and the properties of the atom.
She explains in the introduction,
"in this cultivated age a wall of skepticism and cynicism is gradually being built up by intellectual thinkers of every nation against all the treats of the Supernatural and Unseen, I am aware that my narration of the events I have recently experienced will be read with incredulity. At a time when the great empire of the Christian Religion is being assailed, or politely ignored by governments and public speakers and teachers, I realize to the fullest extent how daring is any attempt to prove, even by a plain history of strange occurrences happening to one's self, the actual existence of the Supernatural around us; and the absolute certainty of a future state of being, after the passage through that brief soul-topor in which the body perishes, known to us as Death."[2]
The book is suffused with Pantheism. She also argues that Christ did not come to us as a sacrifice because God is a creator of love and beauty and could not desire "a bleeding victim as sacrifice to appease His Anger [...]."[2]
It's all quite interesting, butt the last sentence has caught my attention re: She also argues that Christ did not come to us as a sacrifice because God is a creator of love and beauty and could not desire "a bleeding victim as sacrifice to appease His Anger [...]."[2]
Now this is where I differ from Marie Corelli. As long as she views the account of Jesus Christ's death in the literal sense, then it's very hard to see the love and it then appears to be nothing more than a gruesome death not based in love-- what man or god would sacrifice their only begotten son?! Let's look at another similar "death" that exists on a much smaller scale, one that is less personal and so much easier for our young minds to comprehend: In the world of humans and many other living creatures is the existence of two separate creatures that begins each life, the sperm and egg. From our modern day perspective, it "appears" that the sperm and egg in the leaving the male and female reproductive organs simply die, butt this is not always the case, not when sperm and egg unite in the process of fertility that creates another being. The sperm and egg are not dead, butt changed forever in a way that ultimately cannot be fully understood by our young minds... we have a long, long way to go before we can comprehend the mind of God/Goddess/Nature, butt comprehend I believe we will a belief that I hold to not by blind faith, butt because it's written in the stars and all of life and most poignantly in the birth of a child. In another example, the child lay for 9 months in a dark albeit warm nourishing womb, with no real idea of what lay in the world without, and the child too likely thinks delivery from the womb is death, at least until the evidence proves otherwise-- a much bigger and brighter world. These examples are encrypted in life for us to weigh in on when our intelligence grows to comprehend life and death-- a way to waylay our fears.
So we in our mature mind living in the world can see the good and LOVE coming from the sperm leaving the body and the baby leaving the womb, and when we are mature enough, we will be able to see at least somewhat, how the story of Jesus' life and death (whether literal or parable) can also be a great act of Love.
Christianity has is good and its bad just like any religion, and a lot of this has to do with how it's interpreted, butt there is one verse that I believe is the TRUMP card when it comes to Christianity:
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. This can only mean one thing and if you read more into it than that, you have veered down a wrong path and are likely encouraging others to do the same. There is nothing that any of us can do (NO WORKS) to save ourself including saying the "Lord's prayer" when you become "of age" to recognize sin in your heart which IS a "work", and yet many who purport to be Christian do exactly that-- claim that those who do not utter this literal prayer of repentance when they have turned "of age", that they will then go to hell until which time they do. Unfortunately, people misconstrue things, like the good intentions found in Ephesians 2:8-9. There is no evil in the world, there are only creatures that find various ways to survive thanks to mother nature (aka God/Godess' main tool) in a tough reality. A lion will not be judged at the end of the day for doing precisely what nature designed it to be and neither will we be judged at the end of the day... none of us. This doesn't mean that bad things aren't done by people, because it is more than evident that horrible things happen at the hands of people. Butt with that said this should be handled in the same way that we handle the sick-- cure them when available and when not then at least understand them and refrain from referring to them as "evil". It wasn't that long ago that religions (including many Christians) believed that epilepsy was the result of being possessed by Satan and so persons afflicted thought of as "evil". That's what Jesus taught -- he came to heal the sick and in the greatest sense he came to heal those who for some reason felt that they could "work" their way to heaven by various means like washing their hands a hundred times a day, good deeds or the sinner's prayer. So let's not take away the power of Ephesians 2:8-9 or the essence of what Jesus truly represents.
This is my Tou Sense Worth: my interpretation of what the inner twin world are trying to say and do-- setting the record straight from their unique perspective.
