I've decided to repost from my Toumai blog the entire post dated October 1, 2009:
Paralllel Worlds, Synchronicity and Getting My Own ducks in a rowIn early 2000 I decided to design three dimensional faeries as a new product line for my pewter gift ware business.
It also seemed appropriate that each be given a name with a little story card. As I began fabricating the stories, they became far more detailed than I had intended and then it dawned on me... that my business had recently purchased a new top of the line Apple computer to produce our catalogue ... AND, it was also great for graphic design. With Heath on staff and his amazing capabilities as a graphic artist, everything seemed perfectly in place to launch a mini faerie book project.
Star Amaryllis would be the first born in the series and I will give a little synopsis but its the 4th faerie-- Barrumba, that I will mostly elaborate on because I believe that this last little faeirie-- the most colorful, has a parallel story to tell, one that is perhaps more relevent for us today.
Now they say that hindsight is the best sight and I believe that. I can see now that the inner parallel world had been weaving their way in my life back then. Of course the faeries stories back then they were simply a cute addition to the pewter collectible faeries... and great fun. But, I wouldn't get it at all!! I wasn't understanding that the inner twin world was reaching out in a profound way. Of course, the inner world knew that I wouldn't get it then, because they were still preparing the way, at least that is what I believe today.
On December 13, 2000, just a few months after the faerie books were published, I would be involved in a terrible vehicle accident and as it turned out, that was what it took to open my eyes to the reality of an inner parallel world that was entirely real. Nothing Like Post Traumatic Stress to open up the senses.
Now take a closer look at this next picture (click on the pic to expand and read)-- this is the inside cover of the first book where I introduce this unique "imaginary" world of faeries... AND humans. Its a little hard to read but the picture explains alot. The story begins by introducing two separate worlds-- the faerie world known as Tehra and our world Earth that are joined by a common rainbow stretching across the space between our two realities. To every child born on earth, a faerie child is born in Tehra.
Okaay, now do the math... do you see what I mean.... this story on a "Parallel Faerie World" reflects my later story (also fictional) that emerged immediately after the accident. I would make up stories in my head at night in order to divert my mind from dwelling on the horror of the accident. As it turns out, this nightly exercise not only calmed me significantly (probably saved my life), but the story that I had created, involving the first modern human ancestor, who was a 'near' perfectly conjoined twin (a male and female). This, along with amazing synchronicities that were coming from every which way and angle, woul eventually lead me to conclude that an inner twin and their parallel world actually exists and that this world was trying to get my/our attention.
Lets look at the story line a little. Tehran faeries are born at one end of the rainbow in a tiny drop of dew and upon birth, a surrogate parent-- totem plant or animal will raise the faerie and a sign will soon occur to introduce the faeries name. The second faerie that you see in the next picture is Fanny Oakleaf... not hard to figure out who will be raising this faerie.
Though the first two faeries are wonderfully interesting, the next two hold an amazing double-double synchronicity!.
So, the picture that you see next is from the third book ... Hermit the Red. As you can see, Hermit the Red is born in the middle of a lightning storm... OH OH! KA-BOOM!! The rainbow gets struck... note how the colours of the rainbow separate into two arching halves. Okay, so now there you see Hermit the Red being nestled into a tiny drop of dew... cute.
Towards the end of Hermit the Reds story, the other half of the rainbow is shown heading off into the distant sky.
Now we come to the last little faerie Barrumba, who is twin to Hermit the Red. The picture shows the front and back cover.
I should mention at this time, that the stories are not gender specific... the faeries in other words are neither male nor female.
All of the faeries go through one trial or another but Barrumba has to overcome great surmountable odds in order to survive. For one thing, the Rainbow was violently flung across the ocean after being struck by ligtning and was barely able to make it to land with its precious faerie cargo. This brings us to yet another dilemm since not a drop of dew could be found, but loe and behold, a little silk worm by the name of Nanaboo watches all that unfolds in the little sea side cave below. Nanaboo helps to save the day by spinning a protective cocoon... not dew but it will do!! If you click on to expand, you can even see the little faerie inside... cool).
Nanaboo has to tend the little cocoon which hangs precariously at the caves entrance and overhanging a cliff... but by using skills learned from other creatures (like spidey's web and bees wax), the cocoon is secured against the storms until the faerie is ready to emerge.
The next picture is kind of blurry but you can easily get the jest. By this time Barrumba butterfly faerie has emerged from the cocoon. So have all the other butterflies on Nanaboos little island. They're mean spirited butterflies who harass little Nanaboo for having "missed the boat" yet again... there will be no wings for Nanaboo they tease. It then dawns on the newly born faerie that Nanaboo gave up a glorious set of wings and freedom to fly... just to save the little faerie's butt. And more than that, that Barrumba now has the very wings that would have been Nanaboo's. Barrumba becomes very sad over this dilemma but Nanaboo tries to console. Then it's Barrumba's time to save the day as the faerie Barrumba puts delicate hands to good use, weaving and braiding the left over silken thread from the cocoon until a little napsack is made... a perfect fit for Nanaboo. Now Nanaboo can fly even farther and faster than all the butterflies (that'll teach them for teasing).
End of Story.
So there you have it. Some may think that these stories are simply a very imaginative foray, but they are much, much more than that. I have very good reason to believe that they come from an inner world that is as vibrant as our outer world.... the world of our perfectly conjoined twin.
Before you simply shrug me off, I want you to just stop and think for a minute. Ask yourself the question... How do you go from being a single cell amoeba to a multi billion celled homo Sapien Sapien?
We arrived to be who we are via a "twinning process"... a process that is fully engrained in nature itself. Just like nature saw it fitting that we should have two arms, legs, eyes... it was also fitting that we should be two people... such is the way it is with nature, bringing about mutations that will survive against our ever changing and sometimes very hostile environment... how do you think the great diversities of life came into being? Two heads are better that is the bottom line when it came to our own survival somewhere in our ancestoral past. Of course most of us do not have two visible heads, but they did at one time... not unlike that probably of the Hensel conjoined twin girls today. Of course this genetic mutation would only be fully beneficial (think back to pre cecarian section capabilities) if the two heads and bodies were merged perfectly in much the same way as the Hensel twins bodies are perfectly merged. Nature would work out all the kinks... and perhaps still is. What have is a brain which we can understand... we understand that we have a deep subconscious that extends to the collective '' "the Collective Unconsciousness". THAT is where our twin and their parallel world exist-- from the great within... a world that is rich, vibarant and independant.
We often think in terms of finding intelligent life in outer space some day... and we are fully prepared for that inevitability, but who would have thought to look at the universe within.
If having read this strikes even a bit of that curiousity bone, than you should read my other posts, but more than that, you should become more aware of your surroundings because when you do that... and when you open your mind to the possibilities, then the inner world will sweep you off your feet!! Orrr, you could just tell me to make like a duck and flock off!
I have remaining in my repertoire many of these books that I consider to be true collectibles. I am selling them as a set of four... no, they can't be divided!! The price is $20 (shipping/taxes extra). That would be another way you can help to fund building the TUSSH... at least a beginning one.
