Little Black, A Pony and Big Red goes Way Way Back as in Farley Away (Boeing 777 Update 64)

My favourite story book as a child.

The Black Stallion is a 1979 American film based on the 1941 classic children's novel The Black Stallion by Walter Farley.

It also involved a horse called "Big Red" ... reminding me of my previous post re "When you Comin' Back Red Ryder".

What I recollect of the story:

The boy rejected his pony, Little Black,  as he grew bigger in favior of "Big Red" .  So Little Black ran away, and the boy seeing this from his bedroom window jumped on Big Red in order to bring his pony back, butt he fell through the ice of the river.  Big Red made it to the river bank but the boy couldn't get out of the hole in the ice.  Little Black saw the situation and because he was smaller and lighter, could come to the boys rescue- the little boy held onto Little Black's tail as the pony dragged him from the icy water and then to shore.  Big Red stood on the river bank not able to do anything, and from that day forward, the boy always made time for Little Black... while Big Red watched on.

How does this parallel: our outer world (big Red) can't save the day because we aren't equipped to do so, butt the inner twin world (little Black), can.
