"O" for Pete's Pup's Ogling Eye-Dye Omission

Pal the Wonder Dog... original Pete's Pup
On October 29th, my post entitled : Our Gang: May Day, Pay Day, Say Day, Way Day?!, had involved the 1930's series "Our Gang" (also known as the "Little Rascals").  There was one character that I failed to mention, despite the fact that he did indeed stand out.  Perhaps this was not a wise choice, because judging from my previous posts where the letter "O" cropped up in profound ways, the inner twin world want me to reconsider the omission (which was part of the script/plan).  It's obvious that they want "Pete's Pup" investigated .  Note the following from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pete_the_Pup :

The original Pete (sired by "Black Jack") was an American Pit Bull Terrier named "Pal the Wonder Dog", and had a natural ring almost completely around his eye; dye was used to finish it off.
Hmmm, "eye-dye"... "I die".  And note the addition to the recent "Black Jack/11/1/Jack Black" pattern-cluster.

It suddenly struck me ... something that I heard about the author of "Black Like Me" (had dyed his skin in order to experience and write about what it was like to be black in America at the time).  Note this excerpt from his wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Howard_Griffin:
Left blind by a 1946 accident in the United States Army Air Corps, he began to write. He came home to Texas, converted to Catholicism in 1952, becoming a lay Carmelite, and taught piano. In 1953, he married (with dispensation from the Vatican on account of his first marriage) one of his students, Elizabeth Ann Holland, with whom he had four children. He was a lifelong Democrat. In 1957 he regained his eyesight and became an accomplished photographic artist.
So it is true, he was blind for over a decade?!  This is an addition to the recent "Eye/I Malady" pattern-cluster.  Perhaps Howard Griffin's inner twin has "influenced" his blindness... and then brought it back when the time was right. Note as well, that his surnameis an addition to the "Griffin" pattern-cluster... and a Griffin is a mythological creature (Chimera) that has the back end of a lion and the front end and wings of an eagle.
