I found his surname curious so I decided to check out the etymology re http://surnames.behindthename.com/name/rhodes:

Either a topographical name derived from Old English rod meaning "a clearing in woodland", or a locational name from any of the locations named with this word.

 his wiki page.  From the list of films/tv series that he acted in, one stood out: 7th Heaven, because cropped up in my recent October 1st posts:
