Ivan Combe and Cock-a-Doodle's-Doo (UPDATE)

In the last couple of month, an 111 cluster cropped up, coming to full bloom with my October 6 post re :  Snoopy, The Red Baron and Cluster-Synchro's. Here's a little brief on the post:
  • The Red Baron  died in battle on the 111th day of the year
  • Wilfrid May, the last pilot pursued by the Red Baron, was born on April 20th (on a leap year)-- the 111th day of the year.
  • Billy" Bishop, top Canadian Ace, died on September 11th, after which, 111 days remain in the year.
  • Snoopy's birthday is August 10, 1950, the 222nd day of the year.
So what are the chances that I would just simply stumble on this amazing cluster synchronicity?!  You'd have to be blind, deaf and dumb to not do a double take.

For those who are intelligent and brave enough to venture down the road less travelled, let's meander over to wiki's April 21st site-- to the 111th day of the year.

From among the hundreds found in the site's list (re: notable births, deaths and events), only one stood out:
1911 – Ivan Combe, American businessman and entrepreneur, invented Clearasil and founded Combe Incorporated (d. 2000)
In all the years that I've been on the synchro-trail, I've learned to assess things pretty fast.  There were 4 things in this one sentence that I considered as having pertinent synchro-clues.

The year of his birth has 911 at the tail end, and since there are 111 days remaining in the day after 9/11 (September 11), we have a small synchro-connection.  And of course with his year of death being 2000-- another triple identical # cluster, is yet another little heads up.  These are only small clues, especially when held next to the biggy-- his surname "Combe".

So why "Combe"... What did I see in this name?!!

This will take a little explaining, so bear with me as I begin by posing the question, "what is hair after all, without a comb?!"

You'll come to somewhat of an understanding as to why I would broach such a question when you peruse the bottom section of this post, a list of titles and excerpts from  32 posts found on my Toumai Blog.  Each of these posts have one thing in common-- they involve the topic of, or simply include the word "HAIR".   In fact, "related" words/names ie: "Hair; Hare; Heir: Harry" had begun to crop up so profoundly during this time, that I had begun to categorize these under what I refer to as the "Harried Series".

The usual site I visit when researching the original meaning behind a name, called Behind the Name didn't have the name Combe available in its data bank, but instead this was brought up:
The name Combe was not found. Names that sound similar to COMBE
CAMPO     ItalianSpanish
KEMP     English
KNEIB     German
KNEPP     German
KNOPP     German
On following the links provided for each of the above, I was able to retrieve the following respective definitions:
  • Locative surname from Spain and Italy meaning "field".
  • From Middle English kempe meaning "champion, warrior".
  • Occupational name for a shoemaker (derived from Low German knif meaning "shoemaker's knife")
  • Means "button" in German, originally belonging to a button maker or button seller.
I'll simply leave it up to you to find the other synchro-connections, but here's a clue-- take the words "field" and "champion" and key each in separately, into the search box of myToumai and Pronoiasecret blogs.   Heck might as well key in the word "knife" while your at it.

Finally I found the etymology via another source:
Combe Surname Origin
(Anglo-Celtic) Dweller at a Hollow, Valley, or Hill-Recess [Old English cumb, from the Celtic: Welsh cwm = Cornish cum = Irish cum, a hollow]. (Origin English) (occasionally) Dweller at a Ridge or Hill-Crest [Dialect English comb, a ridge; Old English camb]

Since the inner twin world seem to have a thing for "play with words", note how "combe", when  broken in two becomes "com be"... or "come be" (a reversal of our word "become"). So let's look at the words "come" and "be".  The etymology of the word "come" reveals meanings such as : to arrive, assemble, approach.... and even the definition "to be born".  The etymology of "BE" is as follows:  O.E. beon, beom, bion "be, exist, come to be, become, happen.

Remember as well, that "be" is phonetically the same as the letter "B", which in origin was the heiroglyph of what the ancient peoples referred to as "Beth"-- HOUSE.

Since I was on a triple numbers roll, I decided to venture over to Wiki's February 2nd page... given that:
February 2 is the 33rd day of the year in the Gregorian calendar. There are 332 days remaining until the end of the year (333 in leap years).
So, what stands out from among the hundreds of notables listed on this site, butt a person by the name of Thomas Truxtun Hare!!
1956 – Truxtun Hare, American track and field athlete (b. 1878)
Keep in mind that the inner twin world have an affinity for generating "twin" synchronicity ie: twin numbers such as 22.  But the "twinship" can take on another form, such as the name "Thomas" and "Twain", both of which mean "twin/two" in origin.  On visiting Hare's wiki page, I find out that he passed away at 77 years of age... AND, that today is his birthday.  Note the following excerpt:

        C. McCracken and Thomas Truxtun Hare,All-American football players and Olympic medal winners, c. 1900
Hare on right
Thomas Truxtun Hare (October 12, 1878 – February 2, 1956) was an American track and field athlete who competed in the hammer throw and All rounder events. He was also an American football player for the University of Pennsylvania from 1897 to 1900. Hare is one of only a handful of men to earn All-American honors during all four years of college.
He also was on the Gold Medal winning Tug of War team those same Olympics, making him one of the few Olympians to win all three medals, Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Oh and yes, he died on a leap year-- the 33rd day of the year with 333 days remaining!!!  Not only that, consider the twin letter "P" that you see in the photo at left, with Hare on the right.  When you divide the alphabet in half, the dividing point is between M/N, giving A-M and N-Z (13 letters each)... and, in this second half, the letter "P" is at number 3 position, so in a cryptic roundabout way, the PP is 33.

UPDATE:

Note as well, the above photo was taken from the PENN University Archives and Records site (Here), hence the P on their jersey's.  On researching the letter P, I found another synchro-connection from Wikipedia on the letter P (Here), where under a section entitled Related Letters and Other Similar Characters, was this excerpt :
Ƿ ƿ : Latin letter Wynn
This particular "P" shape called the "Wynn" had gotten my attention over and above the others that was mentioned despite that it was last in the list.  For one, it sounds like "win"... and there's the double "nn", not to mention that my knowledge of etymology has enabled me to make a connection with the letters W, U, V, F, (PH) and B,  given that the letter "B" and "P" are the origin ... with the others in the group evolving from these.

So I followed the link to the Wynn wiki page, where I noted the following:

Wynn (Ƿ ƿ) (also spelled wenƿynn, or ƿen) is a letter of the Old English alphabet, where it is used to represent the sound /w/.
As you can see, there's the word "PEN" coming into view.  Note the following excerpts :
While the earliest Old English texts represent this phoneme with the digraph <uu>, scribes soon borrowed the rune wynn w() for this purpose. It remained a standard letter throughout the Anglo-Saxon era, eventually falling out of use (perhaps under the influence of French orthography) during the Middle English period, circa 1300.[1] It was replaced with <uu> once again, from which the modern <w> developed.
The denotation of the rune is "joybliss" known from the Anglo-Saxon rune poem[2]
Ƿenne bruceþ, ðe can ƿeana lyt
sares and sorge and him sylfa hæfblæd and blysse and eac byrga geniht.sares and sorge and him sylfa hæfblæd and blysse and eac byrga geniht. [Lines 22-24 in The Anglo-Saxon Runic Poem]
Who uses it knows no pain,
sorrow nor anxiety, and he himself has
prosperity and bliss, and also enough shelter. [Translation slightly modified from Dickins (1915)]
