This Stevie Nicks song sung by the PS22 Chorus is my favorite. It says it all... mountains... landslides... Ocean Tides.
Reminds me of my mother and her suffering... an event that had a profound effect on my childhood and adult life (see my July 13, 2009 Post in my Toumai Blog entitled "Mirror in the Sky What is Love?" (HERE) It saddens me to think that my mother's inner twin had brought about her suffering in order to help set the stage-- to help mold my life in such a way that I would one day be strong enough to find my way to this place here and now... to where I would discover our inner twin and their secret world, hidden no longer.
I continue to blog away, singing this song... wanting the suffering to end... wanting us to get on the right track with the inner twin world so we can move on into a bright future together. I want this for my children, for my grandchildren... I want this for my mother, my father, my brother, sisters and friends... I want this for you too/Tou.
Land Slide, original version by Stevie Nicks:
I took my love and I took it down
Climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow-covered hills
And the landslide brought me down
Oh, mirror in the sky--what is love?
Can the child in my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changin'...ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?
I don't know.....I don't know...
Well I've been afraid of changin'
Because I've built my life around you
But time makes is bolder; children get older
I'm getting older too....
So, take this love...take it down.
Oh, if you climb a mountain and you turn around
and you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills...
well, the landslide will bring you down;
The landslide will bring you down..
