Gun Place Advance

Wikipedia’s Deaths in 2024 site has added under today (November 30):

Gunārs Placēns [lv], 97, Latvian actor (The Silence of Dr. Evans)

His name caught my eye, given the two additions to the “Word in Name” pattern clusters, hence providing us with “gun”, “place” and “lace”.   He doesn’t have a wiki page, but the film mentioned above does,… and do note the “vans” in Evan’s.  Even though we recognize the word van to be a vehicle, in origin/etymology meaning is — Van:  the front part of an army or other advancing group.  This definition jives with the above “gun place”.  As for how “lace” factors in, note the following etymology:

(source also of Italian laccio, Spanish lazo, English lasso), a trapping and hunting term, probably from Italic base *laq- "to ensnare" (compare Latin lacere "to entice").

Note the following information on the cast and crew of the film who stand out the most given my previous post:

Placens had passed away on Artemyev’s birthday!!  Note as well the “my art” in the name Artemyev.

The two September birthdays are additions to a cluster in my recent November 27 post, expanding it into a:

 “September 25(x3), __, 27, 28/Date Sequence” pattern cluster

As to my tou sense worth… ?! Your guess is as good as mine.  You could bridge the September 26 gap if you want to understand more, … Or not.

A Byrd in the Hand…

Sometimes I come across pattern clusters in seemingly random investigations involving my fields of interest and for material to be used in my fictional novel.  Such was the case today when I came across an excerpt from this article:

Oldest Modern Human Genome Reconstructed Using DNA From 45,000-Year-Old Skull

One possible explanation for the discontinuity is the Campanian Ignimbrite volcanic eruption roughly 39,000 years ago, which severely affected climate in the northern hemisphere and may have reduced the survival chances of Neanderthals and early modern humans in large parts of Ice Age Europe.
I then googled volcanic eruptions 25,000 years ago and came to the following

Taupo Volcano

Two Centuries of Volcanic Eruptions May Have Triggered the End of the Ice Age:

Our research included the broadest suite of chemical and elemental analysis ever attempted on a deep ice core, and the most precise breakdown of time. This record of the eruptions was precisely duplicated in replicate samples from the same ice core, and in ice cores taken from near Byrd Station in West Antarctica, and Taylor Glacier in Antartica’s Dry Valleys.

What immediately caught my eye, was the “Byrd Station”… given the recent “Bird Theme” pattern clusters.  So I followed the lead and arrived at:

His birthday is meaningful in that 3 of me ex partners family members were born on October 25th.  Byrd being quite famous has an extensive wikipedia page that include the mention of other notable persons and links to follow.  Not wanting to spend the time required to investigate all, I focussed on names that stood out and I came to this excerpt:

On May 9, 1926, Byrd and Navy Chief Aviation Pilot Floyd Bennett attempted a flight over the North Pole

My ex partners surname is “Bennett”, so I took this as a twin heads up.  Note the following from Floyd Bennett’s wiki page:

Floyd Bennett (October 25, 1890 – April 25, 1928)

What are the chances that he too was born on October 25!!

You Got a Friend in Me — Joanne

The last thing my friend Joanne posted on her facebook timeline showed a little video of a cute animated baby penguin singing a portion (see section of song below highlighted) of Randy Newman’s song, you got a friend in me,

Note the following information on band members for the original version:

I’m also reminded of the fact that my friend Joanne’s birthday is September 25th,… the same as Randy Kerberos birthday.  So we have a “September 25(x2), __, 27, 28/Date Sequence” pattern cluster now in the works.

Note from the songs wiki page:

 a version by Robert Goulet

Note from Goulet’s wiki page:

  • Robert Gérard Goulet (November 26, 1933 – October 30, 2007)
TODAY is Robert’s birthday!!

Also Randy Newman’s birthday expands the cluster from my previous post into a “July 23, July 24, __, … 28/Date Sequence” pattern cluster,… a prompt to locate the intended person(s) to bridge the July 25 gap.

Perhaps it’s this notable person who passed away yesterday:

  • Henry Earl Holliman (September 11, 1928 – November 25, 2024)

Do note the “ear” in Earl… and his birthday—9/11!!

Here’s the lyrics to You Got a Friend in Me

You've got a friend in meYou've got a friend in meWhen the road looks rough aheadAnd you're miles and miles from your nice warm bedJust remember what your old pal saidBoy, you've got a friend in meYeah, you've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in meYou've got a friend in meYou've got troubles, I've got 'em tooThere isn't anything I wouldn't do for youWe stick together, we can see it through'Cause you've got a friend in meYeah, you've got a friend in me
Some other folks might be a little bit smarter than I amBigger and stronger too, maybeBut none of them will ever love you the way I doIt's me and you, boy
And as the years go byOur friendship will never dieYou're gonna see, it's our destiny
You've got a friend in meYou've got a friend in meYou've got a friend in me

Ode to my friend, Joanne:

My best friend (since I was 13) just passed away — November 24/24.  It came as quite a shock, I had just talked with her only a few days before.  She died of cardiac arrest brought on by pneumonia.  She will be greatly missed.

On reading her obituary, I was reminded that her birth name was Carol and middle nameJoanne, but I and everyone else knew her as Joanne.

That Joanne passed one day after my mother’s birthday is significant— an addition to the prominent “Off By One” pattern cluster, and so a twins head up to investigate further,… I suspect … and so will start with Wikipedia’s list of notable deaths of 2024 on November 23.  One stood out:

  • Fred R. Harris, 94, American politician, member of the U.S. Senate (1964–1973).
  • Fred Roy Harris (November 13, 1930 – November 23, 2024)
He’s a politician and so has a sidebar information that includes two of his predecessors, note from their wiki pages::
  • Lawrence Francis O'Brien Jr. (July 7, 1917 – September 28, 1990)
  • James Howard Edmondson (September 27, 1925 – November 17, 1971)
As you can see, O’Brien passed away one day after Edmondson’s birthday.  I’m also reminded of the fact that my friend Joanne’s birthday is September 25th.  So we have a “September 25, __, 27, 28/Date Sequence” pattern cluster now in the works.
To bridge the September 26 gap, we venture to the days wikipedia page, using the formula as per usual and taking into consideration the “one off” cluster we arrive at  the following individuals, but I’ve narrowed my search to the following five who stand out to me:

    • 1998 – Betty Carter, American singer (b. 1930)
      • Betty Carter (born Lillie Mae Jones; May 16, 1929 – September 26, 1998)

    • 1999 – Oseola McCarty, American philanthropist (b. 1908)
      • Oseola McCarty (March 7, 1908 – September 26, 1999

    • 2000 – Richard Mulligan, American actor (b. 1932)
      • Richard Mulligan (November 13, 1932 – September 26, 2000)
  • 1888  J. Frank Dobie, American journalist and author (d. 1964)
      • James Frank Dobie (September 26, 1888 – September 18, 1964)

1887  Edwin Keppel Bennett, English author and poet (d. 1958)
      • Edwin Keppel Bennettnoms de plumeFrancis Bennett, Francis Keppel (26 September 1887 – 13 June 1958)

Of the group above, Bennett stands out to me the most given his surname is also the surname of my expartner of 27 years, who I am embroiled in a lengthy and costly court battle for property settlement.  AND, he died on my birthday!!
We also have two additions to the recent “Word/Car in Name” pattern cluster.

The rest who didn’t stand out so much:

Reid (Part 5– Cork… Oak Floats)

Continuing on with the Reid series, note from my recent November 21st post, Reid (Part 2)

Continuing on from my previous post, note this next excerpt from Ken Reid’s wiki  page:

This was followed by stints as the sports editor, and later editor, of the Sunday News from 1984 to 1987, and reporting for the Cork Examiner from 1987 to 1994.

What stands out is the name of the paper mentioned, the “Cork” Examiner.  The reason being that the word “cork”, is the name of the bark of a tree— the bark oak.  So Given the recent “Pines” and “cone” cropping up in this series of posts, we now have a “Tree Theme” pattern-cluster.

Note the following information listed on the Deaths in 2024 site this month:

As you can see, “Cork” had cropped up earlier.  With a surname “Waters” I thought his death was also strategic, and it’s true that a special property of oak bark is that it’s amazing floating ability.  Note from his wiki page:

Michael Waters (21 July 1941 – 5 November 2024)

On the city of Cork wiki page:

In 1491, Cork played a part in the English Wars of the Roses when Perkin Warbeck, a pretender to the English throne, landed in the city and tried to recruit support for a plot to overthrow Henry VII of England.

  • Perkin Warbeck (c. 1474 – 23 November 1499)

November 23rd is not only TOMORROW, but it’s also my mother’s birthday.  The surname Warbeck is a cryptic “war beck (French for “kiss”).  Given the “beck”, it’s worth noting that my mother is French (Acadian).

On the cork (bark) wiki page we arrive at:

Robert Hooke (18 July 1635 – 3 March 1703)

His surname is an addition to the “Remove a Letter Makes a Word” pattern cluster.

On the Cork (bark) wiki page it mentions that making cork tops for champagne and wine bottles is the most widely use of cork.  I’m now reminded of having recently watched the film “Widow Clicquot”, based on a true story, note from Madame Clicquot’s wiki page:

  • Madame Clicquot (16 December 1777 – 29 July 1866)
  • Joséphine Bonaparte (born Marie Josèphe Rose Tascher de La Pagerie; 23 June 1763 – 29 May 1814)
  • Louis Vuitton (4 August 1821 – 27 February 1892)
Clicquot’s date of birth generates and completes a “December 14, 16, 18/Even Day, Date Sequence” pattern cluster.  December 14 and 16 are the birthdays of my two sisters.  There’s only one cluster in the above that we can now investigate— the “May 29, __, July 29/ 29th Day Date Sequence” pattern cluster.  A prompt for us to investigate the June 29 wiki page.  Using the formula and taking into consideration the “Off By One” pattern cluster, we arrive at:

From the Deaths section:

From the Births section:

As you can see, new clusters emerge.

In 2023, Haley Bennett portrayed Clicquot in the film Widow Clicquot which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival;[9][10] it had its wide release on July 19, 2024.[11] The film is "based on Tilar J. Mazzeo's New York Times bestseller The Widow Clicquot: The Story of a Champagne Empire and the Woman Who Ruled It and focuses on "the true story behind the Veuve Clicquot champagne family and business that began in the late 18th century"

The surname Bennett is also the surname of my ex-partner of 27 years, Cathy Bennett, and note the cryptic “hale” in the name Haley— also an addition to the

Haley Bennett (born Haley Loraine Keeling January 7, 1988)

Her birthday is another addition to the “Off By One” pattern cluster, given that it’s one day off from the birthday of Cathy Bennett’s son, Gillman Payette, born on January 8th.

Note the following information on the Release Date of the film, Widow of Clicquot:

Release dates
  • September 11, 2023(TIFF)
  • July 19, 2024(United States)

Note the following information regarding most cast/crew:

  • Sam Peter Riley (born 8 January 1980) age 44  as Louis Bohne
  • Cara Seymour (born 6 January 1964) as Jeanne-Marie Ponsardin
  • Benjamin Charles Miles  (born 29 September 1966) as Philippe Clicquot
  • Paul Rhys (born 19 December 1963) as Droite
  • Nicholas Farrell (born Nicholas C. Frost of January 1, 1955)
  • Chris Larkin (born Stephens 19 June 1967) as Muller
  • Mark Napper O’Connor Tandy  (born February 8, 1957) as Magistrate #1
  • Joseph Wright (born 25 August 1972) is an English film director
  • Erin Dignam (born July 20, 1955) is an American film director, screenwriter
  • Caroline Champetier (born 16 July 1954)
  • Bryce David Dessner (born April 23, 1976) is an American composer

The following clusters are generated by the above dates:

  •  “May 29, June 29, July 29, __, September 29/ 29th Day Date Sequence” pattern cluster
  • “April 23, May 23, June 23, __ …, November 23/ 23rd Day Date Sequence” pattern cluster
  • “January 1,…, __, 6, 7, 8/ Date Sequence” pattern cluster
  • “December 13, 14, __, 16, __, 19/ Date Sequence” pattern cluster
  • “July 16, __, 18, 19, 20, 21/ Date Sequence” pattern cluster
  • “August 25(x2), __, 27/Date Sequence” pattern cluster.

August 25th is also the birthday of my grand daughter.

So where to begin?

Let’s look at the cryptic communication in the surnames:

rile sea more mile rise far Elle frost, lark, tan, write/right, dig, champ tier.

To bridge the August 29 gap as per the first cluster, using the formula this one stands out:

  • 1888 – Salme Dutt  (29 August 1888 – 30 August 1964)  politician
His date of death expands one other cluster above and generating another gap re “August 25(x2), __, 27, __, 29, 30/Date Sequence” pattern cluster.

Note the cryptic “salve/same duty” in his name.
If we bridge the August 26 gap:

2000 – Bunny Austin (26 August 1906 – 26 August 2000) tennis player

If we bridge the August 26 gap:

1888 – Evadne Price (28 August 1888 – 17 April 1985)  actress, astrologer, author

April 17 is the birthday of my son in law.  Note the cryptic “evade price” in his name.

Note the following recent addition to the Deaths in 2024 site under November 20:

Mike Pinera, 76, American guitarist (Blues ImageIron ButterflyAlice Cooper)

Note the cryptic “pine/pin era” in his name— another addition to the “Tree Theme” pattern cluster.  Note from his wiki page:

Mike Pinera (September 29, 1948 – November 20, 2024)

  •  “May 29, June 29, July 29, August 29, September 29(x2)/ 29th Day Date Sequence” pattern cluster
Two others recently added to the Deaths in 2024 site under November 20 also fit in cryptic fashion:
Note the cryptic “bark marsh all/mars hall brain rain”.
